anonymous user
Autoglass will supply glass and rubber, cut to size on site and fit my screens for £216. Or a company in Halifax £76 cheaper but I have to take the Jimp to them Collected metal today: What I reckon is forget the glass, go for the military/riot van look, just cut a couple of letterbox slots and buy these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LAND-ROVER-DEFENDER-BULKHEAD-VENTS-WITH-SEAL-PAIR-/171222488282?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27dda7d4da Skizzer and SambaS
plasticvandan
Trackrod ends are mini, fiver each n case you want new ones, having driven a jimp on both 10s and 12s I would stick to 10s,better handling and don't catch on anything.can't say I've heard any reference to them being offered with 12s,production ended when reliant launched the fox and wouldn't supply Pk with any more running gear (competition) and the fox was the only one to use 12s,reputedly the remaining stock from Bedford of their ha van wheels, part of the reason only 550ish foxes were built. The kitten coming on 10s only.
SambaS
Yesterday when I got in from work I bought insurance for this. Doesn't run at the minute, have ordered some points and a condenser for it, failing that its getting booked into a local garage to be mended. Then MOT time. Windscreenless. rml2345
Windscreens are overrated anyway...Hope you can get it running without too much trouble. SambaS
SambaS
No rest for the criminally insane... I sent this into the perfect garage for the job, a fella in his 70s who used to have a Polonez for his courtesy car, until it was stolen. And a Lada dealership, and who now restores Minis, along with his usual garage business. Notoriously hard to pass MOTs with old shite... And due to Bilwood's retirement now my sole choice of MOT station. Oh dear. Anyhow. Nov - April they had it. Fitted Mini distributor, said it works, it didn't. Ran, revved, when driven lacked power for forward motion. Went in last week, 'weve drained old fule it seems fine'. I went and picked it up, it managed 5 meters. So a nice bill and I'm no further along, other than some free storage.
SambaS
Haven't updated this for a bit. Jimp is mostly working fine now, Simcat sorted it out for me on his travels last year in about half an hour. Problem with spark plugs and carb mixture setting. Compression is way way too low though and struggles to pull in 3rd without kicking its head in, which I do do. Still LOL at myself here: Realised a dream chaseracer, Dick Longbridge, Skizzer and 3 others

SambaS
Northallerton Glass fitted the windscreens and rubbers: It went for MOT: ...and failed on an insecure battery and emissions. The emissions problem was rectified using legislation and the battery was secured. PASS! Last on the road in 1997: Goes camping and off roading. Sloth in a bowl
That car must be worth it, just for the look on the mot man's face each year. It's lovely, proof that sometimes, less is more in life.
