Lazy spotters thread

Oooo that R5 is lovely. Since acquiring one recently I've been noticing them more, as you do, and developing a taste for them. Mine is a Campus and I reckon the more upmarket ones must be fantastic.Edit: hmm that place looks familiar, are you a Paignton man?

That's taken in Tavistock actually with my fave Indian takeaway behind.

Yes why not? I'm near the A30 between Exeter and Okehampton, in a village with a decent pub. If anyone fancies a west country meet I'd be delighted either to host one or go to one somewhere else.

Yeah, I'd be interested in some kind of meet, I liked reading about the scotoshite meets, we could do something similar.

One issue is we simply don't have enough volvos between us!

I've started up a seperate thread to continue this, definitely would be something to look forward to.

The Montegos is very tidy but one arch has started bubble and it apparently splatters a bit on start up due to some common problem with the carb (it's a auto choke and fuel injection model).

This A55 is a Ipswich car from new, only 1 owner too and 38000 miles, He's just had it resprayed and will be selling this for £5995, I'm not sure if that dear or not as it's mint and he's fitted a lot of new parts to it too.

Oddities from this month:

Weirdest parking restriction I've ever seen. Think it's probably to do with a bin truck round or something.

This doesn't look right to me.

DVLA says it was registered and built in 2001, but it's silver, and the tax is running out.

This Clio had two Maestro trims on the back wheels and none on the front for some reason.

Whilst queueing for the channel tunnel earlier in the year, noticed these amongst the usual fodder.....

Diplomatic rover 800. 820ti- not a spec that was uk avaliable i think?

The idea of a silver templed diplomat wafting across to Brussels is straight out of the Rover Group ad mans dream.

Come to think of it...

Id barely put down the camera when i was ushered behind an early Lexus

Check this out, i saw it today in Ormskirk Morrisons car park, its a 'silver dawn' which is seemingly some sort of LWB special with a little rear window for improved privacy if you're some kind of Saudi Arabian royal family member or whatever. Anyway ig had had a lousy 2-tone respray and its rear arches were merrily fizzing up as the owner stocked up on Prosecco and Twix's for their NYE festivities.

I'd consider myself a lazy spotter, here's my case; Aboard my 1994 Transit earlier this evening, I happened across an H reg Proton performing "Safety Car duties" on the A14. Rather than risk a (futile) +50 mph overtake, I assumed the position in it's wake. Imagine my surprise when a J registered Saab 900 intersected our convoy, creating a-holey trinity, the like seldom seen by any.

I would've captured this spectacle photographically for all to nourish themselves upon but, cursed with a camera whose picture quality makes bark rubbings seem Hi-Def, I didn't even try.

 Sorry.
