Soundwave
Saw this while on a walk in the countryside. My second thought was that it's lovely to see a base Mk1 that hasn't been turned into a rally car or RS replica. My first thought was "bloody hell, I wouldn't leave a 2 door Mk1 unattended in the middle of nowhere". The owner apparently thinks similarly - look closely, there's actually a wheel clamp on the nearside rear. Lovely to see, but kinda sad that the owner has to clamp their own car just to go for a walk, such is the risk of it going missing. worldofceri, Isopon, Amishtat and 5 others

NigeT
This beauty pitched up whilst Mondial was being MOTd last month. Some hefty bills ahead for the owner as I witnessed a bodywork guy taking a screwdriver to the roof where it meets the windscreen and the rot factor was considerable. Zelandeth
Merc is a new arrival just round the corner from us...not sure if resident or just visiting. Lovely car... though first thing I'd be doing would be un-lowering it and putting the factory wheels back on. mitsisigma01, goosey and GrumpiusMaximus 2

Jerzy Woking
Despite living in Spain for over a year, seeing an old car on the road is rarer than you would think. The scrappage schemes run here were very effective at getting old stuff off of the roads. But saw this Opel GT this morning on the road to Elx. No rust, no laquer peel, and the paint looked original for what must be a 30 year old car (or older?) Same wheels as I had on my MkII Cavalier SRi130. One of the best cars I ever had, red lined it and wheel span it everywhere. Sadly it seems to have died, at least according to DVLA. bogeyhead
I spotted this Oldsmobile Regency at the central car park in Faversham today. Never saw it before, but it looked in pretty good condition. From what I can tell, it looks like a 97 or 98 model sedan. Schaefft
These 88s and 98s looked properly ancient when the Aurora was released in late 1994. Olds only replaced the 88 4 years later with the Intrigue, I guess they still had plenty of pensioners looking for a deal until then. bogeyhead

I fitted 3 Mk2 cavalier ones and a mk2 Astra gte one to a mk3 cavalier 1.6 and later upgraded the front brakes with Mk3 GSi discs and calipers. The mk2 cavalier wheels fitted with a fag packet of clearance. The Astra one had to go on the back as the extra metal meant it wouldn't fit.
