I parked the van like that in a (very quiet) corner of our local Tesco car park once.  Came back to get absolutely ranted at by someone in an Audi A1 about how I was being utterly selfish and inconsiderate and how I was everything that was wrong with society.

The fact that the van is pretty much the exact width a single space (not allowing for things like opening doors!) and about 1 and a half spaces long seemed completely lost on her.

Couple of treats from my delivery last week.

I walk through this underground car park every day but usually there are no lights and another car parked in the way so I'd never paid this any attention.

But this week the lights have been on so I noticed it. What I actually noticed was this.

It looks big under the tarpaulin but that could be an optical illusion. It looks 7 series sized but it might only be a 5 series - a proper one though.

Somebody here will be able to tell from the hub cap.

I think that could be an E9, here’s a pic of my old one for comparison

E9s weren't sold here with steel wheels like that, as far as I know, but if it is a coupé under that then I suggest it's the E9's predecessor, the 2000CS.

If it's a saloon, it might be an E3, or possibly even a Neue Klasse.

On my way back from up north I spotted this Avantime in the slow/stationery outside lane because M25, in front was a White C reg Citroen CX estate and behind was a silver Talbot Matra which sounded glorious IMG_20210425_163320_hdr.thumb.jpg.2e66e0c39c2244a86d94e1ff5f2dce87.jpg

These three French automobiles have been used by JC, Hammond and May apparently

Parked next to this yesterday morning. Pretty much the same age and size as my car but a very different approach in all other aspects.

And came across these on a dog walk. The Sprint is partially hidden because there were people at the front door so I was being surreptitious.

If I didn't have the dog with me I might have said hello being a fellow Triumph owner but he is a bit of a handful. But two doors up I also found this.

Even the mk1 Focus is getting scarce even if silver was the most common colour.

You're going to make me go and have a peek underneath with suggestions like that!

I've been on my knees and I think you're right. It's definitely a two door.

Okay, I'm going to have to brush past tomorrow and have a fondle of the headlights through the tarpaulin.

OOOFT. The last (only?) attractive and desireable car BMW built. And I can (just about) remember when you couldn't give them away. Alas, alack etc

The front end is a bit challenging, though...

They look better without the sealed-beam nonsense, as intended. I wouldn't only BUM one of these - I'd probably let it bum me

Having had a grope this morning, I can confirm you are right. But with the round headlights which as @barrett points out doesn't look half as good as the one above. I'd forgotten they looked like that.

Did anyone catch you at it?

I don't think so. But I was in full uniform complete with a bag over my shoulder. So if anybody did see me they'll know where to complain. Then I'll get a visit from my line managerfor an explanation, "well, there's this forum..." How do you explain this place in a few short sentences?
