A few finds from the other day:

We'll start with a very tasty Metro 1.1L. Pretty early one this, rolling out the dealership around 3 or 4 months after they launched.

20200830_122752.thumb.jpg.c9945b03a9f854ee396ecb89d34c6864.jpg

Next up is this not so nice Citroen AX Elation. It's been off the road since 2012 and is most likely incredibly rusty on the inside. Nevertheless it was a cool spot.

20200830_123956.thumb.jpg.dbc37009ff16f8600bce7296b30fd602.jpg

Next up a first generation Discovery with the wrong grille... But wait! It's a moderately rare 3 door variant. Don't know how many of these were made actually...

20200830_113344.thumb.jpg.6e9a072a752c804b087aeb2a1f6e1f4c.jpg

Now time for a very shite scene - a Volkswagen Type 3 Squareback (or was it a Kamback) with square lights and a rather late Citroen ZX - the Xsara launched under a month after it was first taxed.

20200830_130131.thumb.jpg.897012f4bba30673fa1d74bd34af9767.jpg

And finally, the true meaning of Autoshite: a grim camping holiday.

Wow, that's a Brazilian 1600 Variant! Quite a different beast from the European Type 3 - apart from the unique styling, the underpinnings were a sort of mishmash of Type 1 and Type 3 - they built them into the 1980s (in slightly restyled form). It would take a serious VW-licker to import on from South America - but I doubt you'll ever see another. Great spot!

I made the effort to take a picture yesterday at the BP , guy in his 70s , farmer type , dungarees

I said , there can't be many of those on the road now

No she's been a good old bus , almost 40 now

Then he went in to do the lottery , i'd say he's already won it but doesn't know

I’m on holiday in sunny Cyprus at the moment, I’ve only the one spot so far near to where we are staying but it’s quite notable in the shape of a couple of seemingly abandoned motors, the Merc is immaculate under the dust......

Cyprus seems to have loads of cars brought over from Britain to do nothing other than deteriorate in the sun.

I actually haven't seen an original Irish one of these since the mid 90's; really thought they were extinct here; this was immaculate and a really lovely nostalgic sight ?

Decades since I've seen red plates. Hopefully that's not off to the scrappers.

Didn't look as such; Datsun was really very clean and the SEC on the back of the truck looked mid restoration and not rotten. Actually would love to know that Cherry's tale; they were really a common thing here that had disappeared by the mid 90's; the wheel arches and inner arches on this were absolutely mint and somehow original looking.

Not at all shite but an unexpected thing to see being used as an car on a wet morning. 1950 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith by James Young, originally owned by George Formby. Kudos to the owner for actually driving it.

339 LNX - 1950 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith

And a Bentley a few days later. They really are classy old things aren't they?

NFO 946 - 1954 Bentley R-type

Saw this Saab a few years ago, good to know it's still around

A91 NUD - 1984 Saab 900 Turbo

Hot rod sounded lovely

Ford hot rod

Jag with an unusual reg

OO 643 - 1968 Jaguar Mark II 3.4

Imperial wedding taxi thing, see 'Cars you didn't know existed'

LIG 4631 - 1997 Imperial Landaulette

The second Pontiac Trans Sport I've seen, both UK registered from new

J797 LDL - 1992 Pontiac Trans Sport 3100 SE

Anyone spotting in Lancs?

And know any more about this one? :-
HUM 154
✗ Untaxed
Tax due:
1 May 2009
Incorrect tax status?
MOT
No results returned
Incorrect MOT status?
Interesting that it shows Date of first registrationMarch 1994
& Date of last V5C (logbook) issued10 April 2008
Last seen in Colne, Lancashire

Apparently HUM***G is an age related issue That would explain the late date of first registration.

It's an EU import in cumulus grey. Possibly from Portugal.

We start with an MG ZT-T Monogram which looked very nice if a little... loud.

20200905_215357.thumb.jpg.5501efe34cdb36b4251b646b10a9cbac.jpg

Next up, a Lotus Excel. Some classy shite, I'm sure you'll agree

Not so classy but still very cool is this 1986 2CV in this 'custom' paint style.

Then we have two Volvo 700 series estates, both of which have the early 90s facelift.

Today's stuff what I spotted:

Lamborghini Urraco is unexpected

VGN 6M - 1974 Lamborghini Urraco P250

A different white Saab from the same year, what are the chances?

B841 EJH - 1984 Saab 900i

Low-mileage giffer Metro in Nightfire Red

R763 AKX - 1997 Rover 111 Ascot SE

This beige Golf is delightful and not remotely scened - it was going to the tip with a load of sacks on the back seat.

SNO 265W - 1980 Volkswagen Golf 1.1 L
