Zelandeth
Took me a while to track down where this was so sorry for the poor photo. Heard something rattling away that had to be an 80s or 90s Ford. I wasn't expecting this. Can't remember when I last saw a black bumpered Escort of that generation. Black bumpers, Valencia engine, no remote mirror adjustment, no rubbing strips, steel wheels...Base model maybe? Rear wiper though? Could have still been optioned I guess... It was a pretty good van, originally a coachbuilt 'Newlander' campervan. Some friends toured Europe in it back in the day, then it was lain up for years. The camper body had the structural composition of wet weetabix, So was taken off. I then sold it/gave it to another friend who scored a pick up bed from a newish Toyota Dyna. Which is what it wears now. It was on arounf 27,000 miles when I sold it.

The SI is a Belgian Minerva I've seen at several local shows but can any Landie expert tell me if the other one is a SII or SIIA? 1961 was the changeover year but I don't know how to tell the difference - all I've found is a mention of 'some cosmetic differences' with nothing to explain what they are. Aston Martin
I'm not gonna say where I was, I couldn't take a photo. So I tried street view and unfortunately it's old. On the plus side, bonus Panpan. The silver mgtf has gone. He has the yellow mgtf chromaflair. The purple chromaflair mgzt-t and he has a matching purple chromaflair mgtf. Talk about living the dream. Zelandeth
Sadly never saw it yet again as there was an embankment and a bunch of trees in the way...but that's the third or fourth time in the relatively recent past when I've heard something two stroke diesel powered howling along the road just outside our neighborhood. I'd say straight six Detroit purely based on the noise. In would really like to know what it is now!

Amishtat
Nice to see these two earlier while shopping. The Lexus was L registered and the oldest I've seen round here for a while but they're quite sought after for bangers. The 325 was with what could have been its original owner and sounded glorious.
