Lazy spotters thread

There I was bemoaning the lack of anything interesting on my Boris rides (did see a BMW 6-series but I'll have to go back for it another time as the resident was out watering the garden right next to it) when I stumbled across this pair in a road I only diverted into to avoid oncoming pedestrians and felt like I was back in the 1990s. I think they belong to someone I know but I don't believe he lives here so wasn't expecting to see them.

I posted a pic of this in the dark about 6 months to a year ago. It looked ok then, though I had been out drinking. Hasn’t moved since. Not that I’ve noticed, anyway. I think it was fairly freshly repainted in the pics before but the obviously not very good work underneath is now showing through. It looks like it’s at least 4 shades of white. Filler trowelled on in places. Some bits very wobbly looking. Couple of dribbly brown sores developing. Rear quarters have been rollered. Feel a bit sorry for it now.

I went back for that Beemer tonight

Saw this before when it was covered and guessed it was an ADO16. Decided to have another look and was delighted it had been revealed in all its purple glory.

Not common to see Septic plates but here's a Virginian Cruze

More Septic stuff, Their Civic was completely different from ours.

These are a bit closer to home and I've known about them for a while but not got round to photographing them.

Both Mercs belong to the same person, The 190 is legal but I've only ever seen it move once.

....

That's a reasonably early Series 2 in what looks like Henna Red - probably has a VIN no. of 81855xx onwards. If built from December 1982 onwards, it will either have the 4HP22 automatic or a 5-speed manual. Wonder what state his roof skin is in.....

Slightly disappointing spot today. I’d seen an odd-shaped grille or front opening with a chrome surround through the gap in a bit of a dilapidated garage. Couldn’t ever quite see what it was. Today when I was walking past I could see the doors were open. Nearly shat my pants with excitement until I got there and saw the opening was in fact the front of a pool table where you get the balls out. Bugger.

Anyway, round at the park was this bad boy in metalflake pink and purple, Barbie decals and full sticky looking pink vinyl interior. Made up for my disappointment!
