Nice little Polo Coupe spotted in Buckingham yesterday.

Nice to see one not lowered and fitted with 29" wheels...

I had a 86C Polo just like that - my first car (that I had to myself).  It stayed pretty original, because I couldn't see the need to 'improve' it

Found in South Norwood, Sarf East London this afternoon, all in front of the same block of flats, seems that having an apartment in this block entitles you to keep lawn ornaments I guess:

Excuse the crappiness of the photos, I left the kids in the car and the locals were getting restless, so I had to hurry:

Exhibit A, Ford Capri-Sun, has a sick lean, blebs on the other side and on the bonnet, otherwise could be good.20191102_155401694_iOS.thumb.jpg.0ef7a1ba74636440cf172ff87819215f.jpg

Exhibit D, Some sort of poverty-spec Merc thing.  Half in the hedge, half out.  'Landlord Aware' notice under wiper.  Had to rush, some of the natives were just about to leave the block and were looking angry, thankfully the eldest kid realised the need of a speedy getaway and started the engine on my jalopy, she's a smart 8 year old.   Mummy brought her up to be good at maths, Daddy brings her up to get him out of trouble!

Some spots from my recent roadtrip around Azerbaijan (my Uzbek-made Ravon R2 posted in modern shite). Outside Baku around half of all cars were older Ladas or Lada derivatives, followed by Mercedes W210 E-Classes and older Volgas. I rather like the newer Volgas. Baku is full of modern shite, a local told me that the president has banned older shite from the gleaming and generally spotless capital.

Went for a carvery at Haselbury Mill, a gorgeous rambling collection of buildings hotel/restaurant etc between Yeovil and Crewkerne down here in Somerset. They do quite a few car festivals and rallies with various bits of tat and shite dotted around the grounds, there are a couple of routemasters, tanks, ither miscellaneous forces vehicles and even a small MG Midget-like thing on top of the porch roof! Would eat again there (and have done quite a few times now!) top nosh at reasonable prices at a poshish location with interspersed shite ftw. They also do the Swedish Fest, an American fest and Dubfest amongst other car events, hope to take the Hearse to Swedishfest this May.

This shite was parked up behind the imitation tythe barn, a diesel Sierra! Didn't know they did them, Lexus LS and an ovlov 240, lots of shite-points there.

The local Rolls and Bentley club had a meal/event on, with all their sparkling vehicles aranged on the lawn and aoroudnt he lake, missed photoing opportunity on the way in and they were gone on the way out, shame as there was a bloody gorgoues black Turbo-R, BRG Mulsanne and Ivory Silver Spirit fromt the late 80's and 90's there, amongst newer and far less interesting marques, dribble did come out *sighs because unlikely to be able to afford/run one for a long time if ever*

Nice find, it even has a diesel decal on the side!

The 2.3 diesel engine was available right from the start of Sierra sales, including in grey grille base flavour.  Previously the Granada was the only Ford with a diesel option.

This may have been seen before?

I remember passing this nigh on 30 years ago,  it hasn't moved once in all that time, driving down that way last week I couldn't believe that it was still there,

But in all that time immobile I had not realised it has trapped a Vauxhall Viva in the garage,  the garage is now falling apart so that too may well rust away,

It was the XD2 out of the Peugoet 504 and many other odds and ends.

Spotted this Maxi a few weeks ago and got chatting to the owner on my way back from the cafe earlier. He’s a proper chod botherer and has got an early Metro and a Herald round the corner. Couldn’t see the Herald but the Metro is roaking, properly roaking. I’ll have to get some pics next time I’m passing...
