Datsun was the name used in the UK in the 60s and 70s, then a decision was made to switch to the Nissan name and both names appeared on the cars for a few years, including the first Micras. My mum had a Y reg B11 coupe for years, that had both Nissan and Datsun badges, and it had Datsun branded keys too. NBP 504Y - long gone now I expect. Actually, Datsun UK were a separate company who simply imported Nissan cars. There was a contract set up in the 60s and the company with the contract were onto a very good thing and Nissan were tied into it and couldn't get out. Luckily for Nissan, the chaps in the UK were crooks and when Nissan got a look at their accounts they dobbed them into the UK authorities to get out of the contract.
