Is a Renault Sandero available in RHD? Presumably not. It looks to be a completely different car to the Dacia available in UK but I am guessing that is just styling.

It's the first generation Sandero, we've only received the second generation which is still rebadged as a Renault for some markets

Last few from Germany now I've got home and uploaded the pictures from the proper camera as well as the phone. post-20743-0-13346000-1552757914_thumb.jpgpost-20743-0-68878500-1552757861_thumb.jpgpost-20743-0-68314100-1552757774_thumb.jpgpost-20743-0-43324400-1552757701_thumb.jpgpost-20743-0-42007800-1552757620_thumb.jpg

In Dresden I was looking for a toilet in a shopping centre, followed the sign up an escalator and found these three parked outside.

Turns out they were attatched to the DDR museum, also located on the first floor of this shopping centre.

Very colourful.

It's no secret that I've alwasa felt a major draw to the first gen Jeep Cherokee, and have wanted one since the first time I saw one - A couple of months after they were launched here, parked up just outside the bar entrance at Pittodrie House Hotel.  Dark metallic green one.

As such I know most of the ones that are about here that are actually driven regularly.  This one isn't one I've seen around here before...

post-21985-0-61195600-1552777584_thumb.jpg

Wait a minute... That's a three door version (or does it classify as a two door estate?)...

post-21985-0-10046200-1552777659_thumb.jpg

I never even knew we got that version over here!  It is RHD as well, so not just a random US import.

Looks to have some rust in the usual areas but is better than some I've seen.  Just a shame it's a diesel...

I really do need to get me one of these before they're all gone or cost mega money.  Would have to be a four litre petrol one though, preferably in Limited SE spec though I'd not be too picky there.

To be honest I wouldn't immediately discount a tidy 2.5 petrol if it turned up locally at the right price... I've driven a couple of 2.5 Sport ones back when I worked at the garage and they were okay...just didn't feel quite as special as the 4.0 version, only driven one diesel and it felt rather lacking in the horsepower department - and I was driving a 998cc Metro at the time, so my standards for power requirements weren't exactly tough...

Man, before reading anything else I saw that first photo and thought "this location looks somewhat familiar?". Nice to see some spots from home, both the Corsa and Polo have long term owners by the look of those plates, no country flag.

That was in Dresden by the Blue Wonder bridge, but you obviously already know that. Had a very nice time, mainly in Berlin but one day in Dresden. Not nearly enough time. Was just getting the hang of Berlin by the time we had to leave.

Apart from being bloody lovely that's intriguing.....AFAIK they never sold the 2 door here and I can't recall any overseas assembly plants where a RHD one may have been built.   S. Africa got these XJ models so maybe a RHD 2 door was configured for that market.   These aren't the first gen Cherokees, though, there was a previous model which was based on the 1960s Wagoneer....

it Comes back as 1997 for year of manufacture but July 1998 for year of registration

so either late registration madness going on, or it has been imported from somewhere?

(rear registration plate holder looks to be UK/Euro sized however? unless they where all like that)

Yeah, I know technically it's not first gen...just the first we officially got here...guess first gen XJ would be a better way to put it.

The rear number plate recess looks to be standard to me.

Did Australia get these? That quite often seems to be a source for oddball stuff that you don't expect to see in RHD format...

There's a Peerless GT at 01:12 - pretty rare thing at any time!   Didn't somebody on here have involvement with these going back a few years?

It is a circular route so the Peerless can be seen in better detail later on.

There is also a Lloyd at 06:05...
