These both live on the same road in Barry, sadly the Consul has recently been run into. I'm sure it belongs to the chap who has had a succession of them. I missed getting a pic of the black Orion on the other side of the road, which belongs to the Consul chap. On my way out of Barry I saw another roadside casualty, a Mk2 Golf GTI, which also appeared to have been hit whilst parked and had the driver's back corner stored in and debris still on the road.

I often see this knocking around it always puts a smile on my face  :-D

It's looking better than the last time I saw it. He must go through more blue hammerite than petrol.

Sorry about the awful pictures but spotted this on the M25 heading to the Dartford bridge. No idea what it is.

I did a bit of googling and found out it's a 1936 Riley that competed in the 1936 Rallye Monte Carlo!

Spots on the Chod d'Azur

The Family Chodweaver is en vacance. In accordance with the general nobbery of the neighbourhood visited, and its vicinity to Monaco, the letting agent has so far arrived at Famille CW's temporary residence in a silver Carrera and a green Aston Martin. Neighbours have arrived and departed in variously, a yellow Bentley Continental, a black Bentley Continental, a very recent S class in a dark colour and a slightly older silver Merc estate (this delivers the cleaner's materials).

But I know that you have little interest in seeing any of these. What you want is the abandoned chod I spotted while walking the dogs.

So here you are:

First, I believe these are getting to be quite sought after now. If anyone fancies getting into the inevitable 'the seller saw me coming and the price spiralled out of reality' conversations, I can reveal the exact location of the door that could be knocked...

From the second pic you could think that it's in regular use and it's just the angle that gives the impression of the jungle engulfing it. You would be mistaken. Another year and it will be completely covered.

Just a few more doors down the same road, this rural hoarder is showing impeccable taste with a 309

"A mobile wart"? I beg to differ.

But they obviously have form in this departement... Poor old thing...

And again, just a few doors away, this little gem is proving that Renner may have been getting at least some of its paint process right in the 70s...but all the same, how is this still here???

Anyway, I know of just one of these local to me when at home. There seem to be just a few more in France, but not many...

To finish, have some properly venerable Cits spotted in their natural habitat while we were on our way down the country:

Clustered around an auberge at lunch time...

Yeah, yeah, I know. They probably haven't moved for some months. I reckon this however is the daily, for the moment. Till the owner can no longer afford the LHM or his hydroactive-friendly mechanic retires.

Au revoir!
