Guest
If anybody finds one of these with the tonneau on the back please let me know! TaNot found one yet but I have the Darty model: Hey Lobster, Got me Amazon today, it's frigging amazing. Thanks for brightening up what would otherwise be an utterly bollocks day at work.Cool, glad you like it!! ThanksHere be a picture of it........spot on match for my car! Well, as close as I'm going to get anyway......... My car has a factory fitted Golde sunroof. By way of a mega geek note, someone might want to tell Minichamps that 121s only had model badges on the OS front wing. But kudos to them for going to the trouble of doing a model with 121 badges on it! It also has later factory door mirrors on than a 1966 model, but they varied from dealer to dealer so I'm not too fussed about that. Trim colour is correct for 80 Graftgra as well! So, top marks to Mr Lobster for 'is QUAL service and quick delivery, and yet again a great big 'fuck you' to work for annoying me! Also, my shite 1:18 scale Peugeot 605 is back up for sale. LOOK how crap it is! You knows you want it. Make me a sensible offer and you can probably have it, it's taking up way too much space.

TaNot found one yet but I have the Darty model: Me too, which reminds me of another one I need in the same mould from the same series, it's in Interflora livery! Also an F4 in Renault 'Service' livery...
brammy777
Anyone remember that seller who had those cheap Triumph stags?Well he has more diecast atm (well i think so........... an hour ago he did)And yet more ridiculous prices...I bought a OOC Dennis Dart just a minute ago. Released in 2006, retail is about £18.£3Yep.Where on earth does he get these!
Mr Lobster
Where on earth does he get these!I suspect he's just dumping old stock thats been sat for a while tbh. Older Corgi stuff is VERY heavily discounted by most wholesalers - although not that cheap. He's probably had them in stock forever and just wants some money back. We've done the same sort of thing on a couple of occasions - mainly when we tried selling planes - bought some Corgi stuff with RRP of about £50. Ended up selling at slighly less than £20 each.
brammy777
The aviation stuff seems to fluctuate abit value wise. Its rare occasions when he gets diecast stuff in though, hence why i capitalise on it!There was another guy doing the same a few months ago, selling Vanguard models for silly prices but they were part of his collection and werent new per se.Whenever i sell diecast, i want a quick sale, so i just stick it on for lowwww prices.I sold a masssive corgi heavy haluage set, a kenworth with a huge pipe load and assistance jeep for £18 few months ago, just for the quick sale. garycox
I've got LOADS of models in my loft, I used to be a big collector but I don't have the space now. There's all sorts of stuff, old Dinky and Corgi (mostly well worn) plus all the early Vanguards stuff (I have the boxes for these but I glued the mirrors on so they won't go in now!). Also about 500 Matchbox models from destroyed to mint & boxed. Can you still get good money for them? Is Ebay the best place to sell?
brammy777
ebay is the best place to sell, generally dont get messed about with buyers for diecast.Depends on what you have as to what its worth, but generally old corgi and dinky and matchbox is all still very collectable. If you do sell, please do show us what vanguards you have, even with the mirrors, im interested
garycox
I've got a lot of the old 50's and 60's stuff. It'd take me a while to dig them all out but from memory:Rover P4 (beige /brown)Rover P6 (police)Ford Popular 100E (green)Hillman Imp (Red)Triumph Herald (red and white)Triumph Herald (BSM)Mini Van (Royal Mail)Mini Cooper (red)Austin A35 (Green)Austin A35 Van (A green livery, GPO I think)There are definitely more but I've gone blank for now... brammy777
Does anyone know why those Vanguards Ford Granadas always command a stupidly high price? Theres loads of varients of them, but the cheapest are always way over £10 each.Saying that, I did just get one in Roman Bronze for £
pogweasel
I got one for a fiver last week. Don't like it though, the wheels look rubbish on it.
brammy777
a fiver? bumhats. What wheels are they?
pogweasel
They're supposed to be alloys, but they aren't the ones like Consul GT or Ghia spec cars had, and coupled to a high tyre sidewall makes them look like poundland trims. My collection thus far is:Triumph Stag (red, hidden treasures)Morris Marina (Blaze, hidden treasures)Austin Allegro (White, hidden treasures)Vauxhall Viva HB (Yellow, boy racers)Austin Princess (white)Ford Escort Mk1 (blue)Austin Allegro (brazil brown)Triumph Dolomite (white)Morris Oxford VI (snowberry over rose taupe)Morris 1800 (maroon)Ford Anglia van (red, post office)Ford Consul classic (white)Ford Consul/Granada (green)Vauxhall Cavalier SRi (white)Hoping to get a triumph 2000 this week

I thought i had a Morris 1800, but i just have two Austin versions.I might buy the dual headlamped Princess this week....I swear my vanguards collection has jumped in size ridiculously fast, I now have 38 of them, and i dont know how. brammy777
Really? I never knew that, ahah! Even more reasons for them to do a proper model of a Cortina MK4 and 5, saloon and estate versions!I presume thats why the Rover P5s and Morris Oxfords and Austin Cambridges are selling for alot too? brammy777
bloody hell, that guy uses alot of detail in his work!see, if Corgi/Hornby decided to make diecast models of those cortinas i mentioned, and maybe Freight Rovers and MKII Transits, they would appeal to all sorts of people.Make each release limited to 1500 as per, and its guranteed sellout.
