Mr Lobster
Mr Lobster, blue represents ones I have got, black I am not that bothered about because I either already have a better example or I'm not that fussed about the vehicle, but the reds I need to add to my collection. Do you think you could help me fill in the gaps by letting me know when you get into stock any of the ones I've highlighted in red?? Ta muchly! * Is that the Cosworth model in black? If so I have got it...if not I want it! RegRit. You have PM. And yes, the Cosworth is black.

MrRegieRitmo
Think I'd have the Siku Carrera!Got that Ferrari 308(?) or is it 328(?), got given to me in the 80s brand new. Got a 1/43 version of that 405 Raid. Got the Land Rover in AA & Duckhams liveries I think. Got the XJ6 in larger scale & got that exact 305. Was never very impressed with that 305, even though it's clearly a toy, I don't think they did a very good job of the back end! Don't think I had the Sierra, certainly not that police version anyway. Definitely had some larger scale Matchbox / Corgi versions though!
Ratdat
I picked up a load of diecast while I was in France but this is my favourite. 1/18 Renault 5 by Solido...
MrRegieRitmo
Looks just like your one bar the front bumper! At that scale you'd almost want to try & get in it!
Ratdat
Looks just like your one bar the front bumper! At that scale you'd almost want to try & get in it!I scored a new early style bumper for my R5 on ebay. That plus a few early bits I got in France should having it looking right soon! The Solido R5 is large. Here it is next to a Majorette version...
Guest
I love that photo of the two model R5s. It's almost as if the smaller one resembles a 1/4 scale clay model, an early styling proposal where the proportions are still a bit off the final full-size production car. Screw your eyes up a bit and it resembles an exhibit in an auto museum!
Split_Pin
Oof - that '5 is nice! Thats a new one on me!Strange to think that 20 years ago the only 1/18s you could really get were of lambos and ferraris from Bburago or Polistil. Now you can get a good selection of 70s Renaults, 4,5,12 (I have this one) and the 16, Escorts, Sierras, less obvious VW's like the Type 3 and MK1 Golf, the list goes on! Ratdat
Here's some other shite I picked up at the autojumble. Most toy cars were 10 to 15 euros each so I didn't buy much.. here's just a few of the cheap ones I found... Majorettes...Simca 1308 Volvo 245 Fiat 127 with what looks like a pony in the back BMW 3.0CSi Siku...Merc 250 This is a pretty old Siku.. Merc 250SE taxi Well chuffed to find this old Siku Audi 100 LS... Norev...Ritmo Escort Talbot Solara! Bought a load of modern by Norev and Majorette in a toy shop in Reims too. Surprisingly expensive mind. The Norevs are really nice acurate models and even have detailed wheels like the real cars...Picasso.. Twingo C6
MrRegieRitmo
Nice bunch you picked up there, I've got all the Majorettes, except maybe the BMW. I've got an Audi 100 Avant (C3?) & an Audi 200 5T (C2?) by Siku which I picked up in a Newsagents in Avignon, faded / dusty cards, must have been in the window for years! Was also An Opel Senator & a Jag XJ6 that I picked up too I think. I might have the Norev Mini Jet of the Ritmo but nearly all the rest of my Norevs are of the 1/43 variety, I try not to buy too much in other scales as I have to draw the line somewhere! I definitely have a Talbot Horizon Mini Jet as well off the top of my head.
Mr Lobster
The Solido 1/18 R5s are very nice. They also do a 5 Alpine in Black and 5 Alpine Coupe racer. Sadly they are not especially easy to find in UK as the importer doen't bring that many in so we end up buying them whenever we find them.

Split_Pin
Hacksawed roofs off the works I still feel guilty for doing this to a Stahlberg 343 when I was about 8 - so much so that I bought another one a few years ago. I also have a green 240 GLT.Whats the street value now? They go for seriously good coin on e-bay. Most of the ones available are Volvos, with a few Saabs turning up. I love these Stahlberg models and my two Volvos are cherished, but I would love to get my hands on some non-Volvo ones, like the Corolla. Excellent find! MrRegieRitmo
If it was 1/43rd I'd be in there! I do have some 1/18 but due to space reasons I have to make them the exception rather than the norm, so something extra special or something we had a 1/1 version of etc
