ProgRocker
I really don't need a 2.2 litre diesel engined car. I only do 6k miles a year. Replacement parts prices for the Almera had been something of a shock, such as the new clutch and DMF. Although it's my 2nd diesel car, it's the 1st that has been maintained. Morgan84
I love a nice diesel; nice to hear something which actually still sounds like it's doing something rather than the modern can't hear a damned thing motors; maybe I'm sadistic but really enjoy a good old 2.5 diesel Transit - wakes the whole neighbourhood up, and gives you a nice massage through the seat but you know it will soldier on and not go into limp home mode !Peugeot 1.9 diesels were a nice engine, and the German offerings have been very nice in the past; modern diesels with DPF and all electrickery on them though are not so good and having been bitten once will think very carefully next time.
