gtd2000
Ive seen those, also on my radar is the Sym Symba - a local bike dealer has one in at £1200 new on the road. The seat puts me off a bit though - and trying to find a bench seat in the UK seems impossible. The Kayak Cub clones at £900 seem a bit better value. Plus they would probably* take an XY engine if the original one goes pop. I'm sure you could get this to fit? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/motorcycle-DY100-cushion-110-Cub-saddle-seat-sit-sun-10090-package-assembly/32418309478.html?spm=2114.search0104.3.9.wxbBML&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_5_10152_10065_10151_10130_10068_10344_10345_10342_10343_10340_10341_10192_10540_10190_10307_10301_10303_10060_10155_10154_10056_10055_10054_10539_10538_10537_10059_10536_10534_10533_100031_10099_10103_10102_5590020_10052_5640020_10053_10107_10050_10142_10051_10324_10325_10084_10083_5370020_10080_10082_10081_10110_10111_10112_10113_10114_10179_10312_10313_10314_10184_10078_10079_10073,searchweb201603_2,ppcSwitch_5&btsid=aa7f3b72-2665-4b8b-99ce-9825f4238ef4&algo_expid=70d09f4f-d1a4-48c0-bb74-233444a11144-1&algo_pvid=70d09f4f-d1a4-48c0-bb74-233444a11144 UltraWomble
UltraWomble
I think that's what some people consider to be a cheaper MSX? Still way too much money for a cheap Chinese bike in my opinion. If it was around £1000 then perhaps...Those Yamasakis are just over a bag new - I imagine in a year or so half that will pick one up then lob in a bigger Chinese donk and CDi and I imagine it would be just as much fun as an MSX ( which was OK, but a bit over rated). I might have another look at that Sym - that seat looks like it would probably fit OK.

From my experience of the Chinese cloned cub (which has been very reliable) I'd go for the Sym based on build quality and finish. If you were talking £500 for a Chinese clone vs £1300 for the Sym, I'd choose the Chinese cub but it's much closer than that. There's a picture on the net of an American Symba with a tan coloured one piece double seat. UltraWomble
Giving very very serious thoughts to one of these:But for the same price I can have one of these... The Sym however will fit in my shed, will be able to share some components with the Super Cub and probably will be a bit more of a giggle to ride down a muddy track. The Daelim though will be faster and more comfortable.
strangeangel
Hmmmmmm. The Daelim will be all modern and quicker and everything - and there's nothing wrong with Daelims at all - but given that choice I'd take the Symba. Can I offer any logical reason to back that decision up? No. Soz. UltraWomble
gtd2000
Not much of a choice when you consider there's no difference in price. Were both going for around £1300? Sounds like that might be cheaper than some of the Chinese offerings these days.

gtd2000
Which model of Lexmoto did you buy? Other than some issues with headlamp bulbs mine has been pretty good. Still fires up on the original three year old battery after sitting in the cold damp shed over winter. Gutless engine I have to admit but fine for the B roads. wuvvum
It's an XTR 125 - it's a "sports" bike, although I imagine a CBR / YZF 125 would leave it for dead. PiperCub, Parky and UltraWomble
Guest Hooli
Looks like a CBR125 clone, at least around the headlights. I used to know a tiny lass who could get 82mph out of hers!
gtd2000
Yeah I think it is a bit of an homage to the CBR. Some folks on the Lexmoto Facebook page seem to suggest that some of the parts can be swapped/fitted.

Dave_Q
Well it's a 4 stroke 125, so at a guess it will whip 90% of cyclists off the lights, and reel the rest in by 20-30mph before heading on to a top speed of between 50 and 70 depending on the size of the riders bottom. gtd2000
I've had an indicated 78mph out of the Lexmoto ZSB down hill. Probably closer to 70mph though. My old Suzuki GP100 showed an indicated 82mph once. Unfortunately my fizzy would only show 56mph down the same hill as the GP100.
