Pimp My Ride: Eighties Style

There's probably already a thread for this but if there is, I haven't seen it. I was sorting through the paperwork for the Nova and came across this 1987 accessory catalogue tucked in the back of the owner's manual folder, and thought you might like it. I did.

I absolutely love those spotlights, I wish I'd got some for the Nova now.

Hubcaps, anyone?

I've never seen the alloys in the bottom pic but I'd pay good money to get some now!

Never saw any of those bodykits, either, although once rust had its way, the top left pic would probably be quite accurate.

So there, enjoy.

I wish that chick in the headband from Fame would come and clean the dog hairs off my Cavalier's seats... and I thought Don Johnson drove a white Testarossa in Miami Vice, not a Cavalier. Clearly I was mistaken!

Ah, the '80s... sorely missed!

Oh. The depth of my joy cannot be measured without specialised radar equipment. I had one that colour, one of the first of the 1.4SRs it was too, as an AA-supplied "Relay plus" car one week back in 1990 when my Reliant kitten broke its engine and the AA couldn't find anything closer to the quadrupig in size and shape.

I, and several equally immature mates, ragged that poor wee Nova to within an Inch of its life and some scientific research on a deserted A1058 at 3am suggested that the thing was capable of an indicated 138mph! OK, so it was probably closer to 110-115 but it felt bloody quick.
