eddyramrod
Ah, you know those Rovers... yes of course you do! I did see what might have been a Moggy pickup once, hiding in the shrubbery, but didn't think I could get even a halfway decent shot. I might try again though. The shipyard guys do seem to have an interesting selection of tat. I do know the matt black Fiesta, that's one I see most mornings as I have a delivery round there. Keep meaning to have the Kodak out ready! I also see a couple of air-cooled Beetles there, but never a Triumph 2000... yet. There's a lot of spotting waiting to happen round Barrow. Don't tell them all about the red 190, let me spring the photo on here! You know the one I mean, you probably see it as often as I do...
Micrashed
Good stuff! Next time you're in the area, shout up and we'll have a cuppa. Will do.Im in Over Kellet every other weekend and often venture up that way.The sheepdog trials last summer was a veritable tat fest too - brand spanking Toyota Landlubbers rubbing shoulders with battered Series 2A's. Twas ace.

eddyramrod
I can't believe it's been 11 months, oh dear... Can't even remember where I found this old Triumph, might have been a daytrip to Southport...If so, this Rover was from the same trip...Here's another P6 back in Barrow, this one a V8...I often see this Corolla round by the shipyard...Firebird belongs to Martin at the garage I use in Ulverston... you can see why now!TR6 is one he had in for some work...As is this one!Pink Polo...Most of a Chevy pickup...Pair of Capris at the garage...And one of a pair of Regal Supervans now used as roadside advertising...Big Ram was in the Dalton Carnival parade that kept me prisoner in the work car park for several hours last summer. The floats had all assembled in the road while I was out in the boss's car. Once I returned, he could get home but because I'd left mine at the back of the bakery I couldn't. There are worse ways to spend a Saturday...Decrepit Beetle is round the corner from me...And this is one I see out and about sometimes...This 1972 Victor has been on ebay, I think it sold too...One for the Landy lovers...A couple that need no introduction...Nissan was gloriously shabby...I walked past this Volvo several times, over a period of weeks; it never seemed to be used. Then one day it wasn't there. I don't think I've seen it since. How's this for nifty fence posts? Old propshafts embedded in the ground and linked by chain! That's recycling!Mustang!Sweet little SEAT on Spanish plates...Mini belongs to a local garage...I see this dinky little Austin whenever I go to my lockup, it lives just round the corner...This Shogun used to live by me, but seems to have been replaced now, by a Saab convertible! But the RAV4's still there...I made a delivery at a local hotel and look what was in the car park...Another one I see sometimes by the shipyard...I couldn't believe this sight...But wait, he has more goodies! That's enough for tonight. It's midnight and I need some sleep. There will be more! michiel, ProgRocker, Jim Bergerac and 7 others
Bucketeer
Top spotting Eddie. I can't wait for the next installment in another 11 months time. Grey Volvo reg. plate sez BORRK. Little things/little minds. eddyramrod
eddyramrod
More like 11 hours now, as I have some stuff to do this afternoon. You know the soaps are on when I'm online, so it'll get done then.
Angrydicky
That guy with the Crestas and Vivas is clearly one of life's winners. Did you get to speak to him?
eddyramrod
Yes I did, and he seemed to be a very nice sort of bloke. Maybe slightly older than me (old enough to have a son who drives the Firebird, anyway...) and still very much a car nut. He's had the black Viva for a dog's age, and restored it, I think he does almost everything himself.
eddyramrod
Time for a few more, and we might as well start at the top.I was actually in my work van, going between drops 3 and 4, so it was about 8.15am. A DB6 at that hour doesn't half brighten your day!Manual Volvo was at a garage round the corner from me......as was this CF.Splittie was a bit scene, but I felt it had to be done, sorry. Seems to be a VW restorer's yard...Here's a better shot of that Datsun that's just appeared in the ebay thread...You see all sorts in the retail parks round here...Having had a Spanish one, here's a more local Panda...Mordor Scrote never moves...And while we're with Ford, here's a daily-driver.I don't know how I do it... two Astons in one posting!I followed this Moggy back out of town, but when he turned left, I had to turn right. Nice condition!I know we like Primeras here...I first saw this off a bus, so obviously I had to go back in the Cherry and get a snap! 1100 FTW Elderly Bedford still working for a living, and looking just as it would in about 1975...I do like a business that uses a proper old van as a promo tool; this one parks overnight right opposite our bakery!Local window business has a proper lineup of truckshite! What a sports car posting this is, Aston, Lotus, now Porsche...Dolly and X1/9 in Martin's garage...Martin's own project Chevy truck...I see this leBaron most days. I have fond memories of my red one, I'd love this.Three ton of swede, please, farmer...NOT ARNIE, DE VITO... I couldn't resist this on my way out of Asda! Mine's the 57 plate...Grab shot on the street...We're coming up to date now (at last!). We were at Cruft's over the weekend, so on Sunday I drove home off-motorway, which allowed for a bit of chod-snapping, like this fairly tidy Fiesta in Asda Tamworth.I made sure to stop at the toy fair at Stafford, where I spotted this lovely Victor...Also did a little buying, which may appear in another thread yet. On the way into Manchester I got behind this...I think the total of this next shot is 280 Shite Points...And finally, on the way into Preston...Note to self: don't take so bloody long to unload the camera next time! Jim Bergerac
RE the ERF in the truckshite picture: Didn't somebody else later on use the same cab (I'm thinking BMC in Turkey?)
eddyramrod
Entirely possible! I don't actually know but it does seem likely. I think the cab originated with Steyr or some such. In fact the whole truck may have done, I don't think ERF had anything light enough to make a 7.5 at the time. Jim Bergerac
warninglight
Great spottage! Recognise a couple, taken close to my spot here! That Aston, I've seen at the Audi specialist along with a right tasty RS2 and the occasional bit of Volvo chod. Some old Landies hang around there too, including a carawagon. The red 240 Torslanda lives just around the corner here too. Will hopefully be able to add to this lot! Here's said 240 with my steed; Ubershite - Noice. Not really sure how this got here... And some steam shite at Dickfest in Ulverston eddyramrod

forddeliveryboy
Like the 305 estate, haven't seen one for yonks. Lovely simple, robust, practical and unpretentious car, what Peugeot used to be good at. Presuming it's a dizzle - the first car to use the XUD lump, in 1981 I think. Must have been a revelation at the time, if all you knew about diesels was smoke and noise and rattles. eddyramrod
