Victor had some shite cars on one Foot in the Grave.

A Hillman Avenger which broke down in a red light district and he got arrested.

A Mark 2 Fiesta followed by his best known car his D reg Honda Ballade. Which wasnt really typecast properly as it was portrayed as unreliable which is one thing you generally could'nt say about the rather monotonous Honda. It did spawn that wonderful bit of comedy of the car mechanics song to Cwm Rhondda.

A bit of late night 'serious' history programming, for after the snooker, darts and boxing (still sponsored by Embassy, JPS and lager of course)? How about That Was The Wank That Was - Warren T Claim's exhaustive (exhausting?) 15 part epic, on the entire history of porn, from 1000BC to date?

Sadly someone has beaten me to it.

Not to mention a Nissan Almera that mysteriously had it's number plates stolen on a regular basis, (P155 OLE)

Easily mistaken at a Main Dealers for a similar example that was loaded onto a transporter #Spoilersalert

Didn't Mrs Warboys have a Cavalier estate with a roof rack and then a Corsa that made a noise like an Elephant when you put it into second gear?

PS Victor had a Sierra Sapphire with a problematical  boot lock in a Christmas special involving Edwin the spider  and Patrick had ditched a VW Golf for a Cavalier Saloon and a "Ronald Coleman Moustache"

I know this will make zero sense to most sensible people but One foot in the Grave is one of my all time best sitcoms and I love it.

And the Mark 3 Escort with the dodgy handbrake which ended up going over the cliff rather than the haunted Caravan he was trying to dispose of!

I too love One Foot in the Grave. I think that period was a golden age for sitcoms and TV in general. There was the wonderful Waiting for God with Stephanie Cole and Graham Crowded and I think Last of the Summer Wine was at its peak then too. You didnt need a swear word every sentence and when one popped up it was timed to perfection.

Barry in Last of the Summer Wine had a great procession of cars, a Mark 2 Escort, Landcrab, Maxi, Talbot Samba. Wesley was always invariably under the bonnet. He finally 'made it' getting a Mark 4 Escort.
