Few lamps out, but nowhere near as many as I'd expected.

Will need to retake this once I've silenced the angry orange light of doom - haven't yet ascertained if that means adding washer fluid or disabling the level sensor.  34 year old French electronics...place your bets.

I can see thats the legendary 25 - predecessor to the safrane and i can see where the safrane has got it's dash styling from!

But you defnitely have the most awesomely retro dashboard cluster - i absolutely love it!

New 72 plate transits at work

Thank goodness they've tidied it up a bit from the last one I drove (16 plate I think) which was borderline unreadable thanks to the typeface and having crammed every 10mph markings onto a fairly small speedometer.  Still not a fan of the cyan personally, but at least it's tidy and legible now.

Got around to snapping a photo of this for this thread yesterday evening.

Camera makes it look a bit brighter than reality, but not bad illumination for a car from 1963.

That's about as dark as I can get on my driveway these days since we had the eye searingly bright LED street lights fitted.

You've already seen the car dashboards, do bikes count?

Yamaha YBR125 just purchased by Master Sham. It appears a bulb is out, but I can appreciate the classic look.

And my SV650. Not a.classic look, but it is at least clear and not cluttered like so many these days.

As an aside, so many bikes don't have a fuel guage - I'm glad these do, I'm not organised enough to get by without.

Proper rubbish photo, but it’s more the fact that since getting the car 9 years ago (Volvo 440) I finally have heater control lighting!

It’s amazing the things you learn to live with that are just one simple job away from being fixed

I know what you mean! Twice in the 5 years since purchasing it I tried to change the heater control bulbs in my wagon R. First time it was a Sunday afternoon and nowhere to buy them from, and the second time some two years ago I bought the wrong ones. Still have no idea what type of bulbs I need.

The ONLY car I have ever flogged off because I hated it was a Volvo 440 - it was red, two litre and I despised it.  For a great number of failings including interior lighting.
Not only did the heater lights FTP but there were no dial lights either - I had a set of Ikea Christmas light running off 2 AA batteries that we Blu-tacked around the binnacle so that we had some idea of how fast we were actually going. Despite mucho tinkering the lights would never, ever work. Grrrr.
I bought that off FleaBay from Plymouth and flogged it through Husseys Car Auctions in Exeter - I think I lost about £80 on the deal which, to be honest, was worth every penny.:-)
