Took the pre-heat bypass thingy out and jammed it back in with a new O ring, tightened up the water sensor plug, cleaned up the mating faces and big O ring at the bottom and so far it seems to be working with no leaks. I'll have a look when I go up his place tomorrow or thursday and see if I can make head or tail of the reference book that he has. He managed to dig out one for my P6 2000 last year which was a sachs I think, he has a massive workshop with an alladins cave of treasures but is very disorganised.
