fordpoplier
Evening All! An update from the 'burbs. I have previously spotted the behind of this golf but had yet to capture a full frontal.Cop a load of the bumper ties on that! But less of the beast, here is some beauty. Simply badged 'Coupe' An early morning jag, have driven by this place many times but the gates usually closed Not often seen around these parts And a couple of the usual suspects
mk2_craig
GR8 spotz! Bet the headlamp aim's good on that VW convertible. I like the detailed advertising on the 2-door Volvo, "GOOD TIRES", no mention of what the mechanicals are like... Still, if that 99k is genuine then it'll be barely run in, especially going by US standards.
fordpoplier
Howdy all, a selection of recent tat, mostly local but a few snapped around Boston. To start, Rat? Barry? Sh1t? You decide Got wood? Thunderbirds are go! Antiques Roadshow Seen better days, mostly Volvos Old Yeller Plain old shite GR8 Bumpers And parked outside a dealership called 'Alfredo's Foreign Cars', guess what he likes
pompei
GR8 spots, particularly like the trussed up Glof.Looking at that Jag, isn't it odd that something so small as a front plate can make a car look, well, not quite right?

Mr Lobster
GR8 pics as ever. Really liking the Alfas.Making me wish I could afford a trip to America for a bit of a road trip!
Richard
Remind me again, what is the deal on MOT tests over there?
The Reverend Bluejeans
Some very interesting scrappage there. The early sixties Thunderbirds are lovely old things but not worth much, and the 2 door 760 Ovlov is gorgeous - almost Maserati Bituro-esque. The red E30 looks like the typical rubbish examples you see in the UK but it's a 325e, 2.7 economy model with the 125 bhp high torque Eta motor.Judging by the numbers of shagged K Cars still about it looks remarkably easy to be white trash in the US. I'd love it.
Volksy
I really like those Volvo Coupes, Designated a 780 IIRC.Came with V6 or 2.3 4pot Turbos. Never sold in the UK for some reason, Last one I saw was on Swiss plates.Apparently they had rust issues, and didn't share any panels with the saloon. Handsome car though! mk2_craig
Seems a real waste to cannibalise and weigh in what looks (from this angle) to be a rust-free, damage-free Volvo estate. What a shame.
Owain-328i
Surely that Golf Convertible cant be legal!!
Richard
That's why I was asking about the MOT. I've a feeling you only have to get a safety inspection when a vehicle changes hands but I could be wrong.
fordpoplier
The red Golf is a Connecticut car where I think the 'Inspection' is only on change of ownership. New York has them annually but they're still not as strict as a UK MOT.
fordpoplier
Here's a couple of bits and pieces from December. I'm guessing this car has been in and out of fashion once or twice over the years but it was as clean as it looked and clearly loved.and after a shite trip late xmas shopping, found this on the way home to make the day worth itsoft focus porn shot unintentional
r.welfare
Monte Carlo SS! The thinking redneck's choice of wheels. If I had any hair left I'd be growing a mullet and chewing "Red Man" whenever I rolled in that.
