Hello all, here’s a bit of a snowy update. From the previous post the black thing with silly wheels was defo a Lincoln. I do not know if the gray Porsche was a 911 or 912 – I’m sure there are ways of telling but it was so pretty I hope it was the ‘lesser’ 912.

Was upstate for Christmas - had to make the inevitable morning trip out for batteries and drove miles before I found somewhere open but found these on the way.

This is less than two miles from my in laws place but I had never spotted it before.

Even Santa had to take a bow for this mustang

And now back to the burbs where there is a little less snow

filling up with gas and this pulls up…I had to lurk and wait till the guy went inside to pay to get a shot

I had 2 hours to kill yesterday in the town of Greenwich, CT so I took a wander and found this lot just off a main road.

It´s amazing how dented and abused most cars look. And another thing is obvious: Is there not annual road-safety-inspection? Most cars are horribly rusty, most of them would get banned from the road immediately here if the police would see you driving such a thing for example:

Lukas, you are not the first to question the annual safety inspection - it varies by state and generally concentrates on 'safety' items but doesn't seem to mind a bit of body rust - that Suburban has a good few years left in it as work truck.

Another spring time dump of shite, thought I'd start with 'who you gonna call'

and next is a 'dealership' I always visit when I am in the area - nobody seems to work there except some large chained up dogs. They currently have some up market Euro stock in

Posted Image

and this beauty is still available

Posted Image

and what's it going to take to put you behind the wheel of this today?

this just in and not priced up yet

Cracking spots, there. American shite, I think, is that bit more interesting than some of the stuff in the UK, if only because as mentioned above the MOT equivalent over there seems to be much less stringent than ours and there's some right rustbuckets cruising about. Probably the only reason I'd ever want to live in the US! :D

Great spotz once again! I love the one next to the Econoline (which is cool too), dunno what it is but it has a great bum.How much Maserati is in that Raymanboy thing, I wonder? Badge, clock... can't be much else.

The infamous Chrysler TC by Maserati. Some may have never heard of this car while others had already heard too much about it years before it was even launched. Promoted as early as 1985 by Chrysler's Chairman Lee A. Iacocca, it was initially known as the "Q-coupe" and almost became launched as the "Lido" (Mr. Iacocca's real first name). After a failed attempt at launching in 1987, the first boatload made their way from Italy in December 1988 with the official name: "Chrysler's TC by Maserati". The idea was to "...incorporate Chrysler's design and production concepts with those of Maserati, while keeping the quality high and the price relatively low." (Road & Track 06/91) A recipe for success?

Unfortunately, no! The initial perception was that it looked far too much like the Chrysler LeBaron (J-Body) Convertible, but cost US $13,505 more than a LeBaron GTC Convertible in 1988. Chrysler executives insisted, however, that the LeBaron and the TC were "just kissing cousins".

Truly an international car, 75% of the front-wheel drive TC's (TC stood for Touring Convertible) parts were built in Italy; the sheet metal, chassis components, and engine/transaxle came from the US; some components came from France; the Michelin tyres and Getrag shifter came from West Germany (thanks to George Lang); the wiring came from Spain; and it was all assembled in Maserati's Innocenti complex at Lambrate near Milan.

Chrysler intended to sell 4000-5000 TC's per year in the US through 300 selected Chrysler dealers. It was not to be. The TC's sales fell far short of expectations and dwindled off quickly only to be halted by 1991: a three-year run. In the end, only 7300 models were ever produced. Even more rare is the most desirable piece of this luxury convertible: the 4-cyl 2.2-litre De Tomaso-designed 16v DOHC Turbocharged and Intercooled 200 bhp built in Italy.

Sounds like an Absolute Horror.. I want one..

That dealer with the TC/Sprint/Pinto combo is brilliant! I love the prices scrawled on the windscreen like they're in some kind of wreckers yard.

Hello all, defo some quantity over quality here but the camera's full so here goes. I could not fathom this first one, I was only behind it for a couple of mins but seems to be some sort of a over sized drop top drag car (is that a parachute?) that will seat the entire family. Of course you want one.

And finally I spotted this at my local school fete – no doubt added by the kids running the cake stall but you can imagine the roffles when they managed to get this past the teachers.
