FSO 125p Estate

Hello all.

Does anyone have any idea what an FSO 125p Estate would be worth?

It's a one owner car with full service history up to 1988 when it was last driven. It has been sat in a garage and untouched for 23 years. It has only 17,000 miles on the clock. I do not have the keys so have no idea if it starts.

It's Cream with Brown go-faster stripes and Brown Leather seats. There is NO rust at all on this car, which I hear is incredibly rare.

Any idea would be really helpful :D

Very hard to say as there's not many about. In fact I think the last one I saw advertised was a stupidly priced (£3,500 or so!) one that was on eBay.

I'd suggest the one you're talking about is worth about £400 tops. Go for it!

Pics?

And i take it you mean vinyl instead of leather seats?

Not many buyers for this - although there will be plenty of shouters.

Without seeing pics -I'd agree with Billy. £400

Struggling to post a pic. I have a .JPG file - please excuse my ignorance!

I'd say £450 with a fresh MOT.

They're still ten-a-penny in Eastern Yoorope, and to give the things their due, they don't seem to die.

Worth every penny with the AS colour scheme etc...

Indeed! That's stunning. In a truly dreadful, autoshite way of course.

Thanks guys!

I'll post some more pics once the rain has stopped.

Will listen to sensible offers as I need it off the drive.

That's great! I love the colour scheme in a shite kind of way. what age is it?

That's lovely! I remember passing one up for £60 about 10 years ago- it was mint! It ended up scrapped unfortunately. PM sent...

Wow! I love this, if only I had some off street parking so I could store it untaxed for a bit!

I'd imagine thered be quite a few interested parties on this forum, particularly with the lack of corrosion, and nice history, not forgetting the website colour scheme. Great!!

I like this a lot. Not sure it would stand up to too many years of exterior storage though, alas

What a beauty. Hard to get parts for it though I would imagine.

Not at all! Join the FSO Polonez group on Facebook and meet a whole bunch of fellow Autoshiters! :D If you have a contact in Poland you can get almost anything (eventually, and at what cost...) except, I would imagine, RHD-specific stuff. I'm inclined to agree with the guesstimates posted so far about price, 400-ish for a car that needs recommissioning isn't out of order. It looks sound (but who can tell from a photo!) so I think a few of us would take a chance. Many thanks for thinking of us first!

I might be getting a R14 (WE'LL SEE)tomorrow, so I think the main problem will be finding parts. But as you say, if you can find parts for an Fso Polonez then maybe I won't be so unlucky after all. It could mean I just go to France very often.

Tell me more! When was it first registered? Pre 1989 ones are supposed to drink 4 star & don't like unleaded but, hey? FSH till 1989? Blimey, the documents would be interesting! I'm in north London & don't need much of an excuse to whizz up the M1 to take a look. I had an "E" reg saloon but always hankered after an estate. PM me if you'd be happy for me to take a look-I'd love to!

You're in safe company here!

This looks HOT. Do get some more pictures up if you can.

Welcome btw!

Are these as shit to drive as I'd expect them to be? I've only driven FSOs around an auction ring, never on the road.

If you've driven a Lada Riva you're in the right ballpark. Whether it's fun or shit depends on how it's been looked after, and the conditions around you. One of the drives I most enjoyed, my whole life, was in a 1985 Riva in 1993. Across county on a bank holiday, A49 to Crewe.
