Vin
WOWSERS The Moskvich van and pick-up must be incredibly rare. I would have thought they are most likely the only UK market survivors...
Torsten2001
That'd be my old chum Ken, I must have a chat with him!
Guest
Wonder how much the FSM Syrena is? They always struck me as the sort of thing a Communist Mr Benn rip-off would drive.

RedSparrow
If the Moskvich van and pickup are RHD they must be literally the only ones left in the universe. What else has he got then?
Wilko220
Interesting stuff. Have you had a close look Benno and, realistically, is most of it restorable? Much of it looks a bit far gone to me!
Andrew353w
Oh dear..... I've never been this excited.... Ooops!!! Too excited!!! I need to get the full story of these cars & will check out the other website to find out more. I would commit serious bank fraud for those Moskies! And a Daf... And a Wartburg... Clearly I've just died and gone to heaven!!!
Sam Glover
Gosh! I, too, would invest actual money in one of those Moskviches. A collective rescue effort has already been discussed between myself and Comrade Andrew353w. I'm not well-versed in the other forum, though. Can anyone extract some contact information? Sam Glover
I thought it was about time I reported back on this shitehoard. The Moskvich 434 raper-van has been added to the Museum of Ideological Alignment - and it's very good indeed (reflected in the ludicrous sum I spunked on it). Observe: The 434 redneck pickup is far beyond restoration, but will shortly be heading to Moscow for cutting and shutting. The side not pictured on the previous page of this thread has dissolved entirely. Most of the cars here are in a very bad way. The Skoda van is definitely saveable - but at £1000, I'm out. There's also a Wartburg Tourist in eminently restorable condition for £750 (not the one pictured - this is a complete shitbasket). Let's energise the strengthening and development of the party and the revolutionary ranks and spur a fresh upsurge in the construction of the Socialist economy! Sam Glover
...oooh, and the Syrena is reasonably good - and working. Yours for a relatively reasonable-sounding £750.
nigel bickle
That looks absolutely ace. Much better preserved than mine -sterring wheel & dash panel on mine dissolved. So -keep as is , heavy customising or return to new?
Vin
Epic work comrade My uncle ran a brand new one of these as a builders hack in the early seventies. It was the start of a succession of second hand Escort vans...
