bunglebus
Something old... Matchbox Mustang casting was as rough as a badger's arse but I've long fancied doing one up. Found a nicer pair of stock rear wheels and swapped the fronts with some Hot Wheels slots andrew e, Split_Pin, sutty2006 and 4 others
bunglebus
Something new... Hot Wheels new Glory Chaser casting is very 50s/60s looking to me, but needed to lose that weird front air dam thing Really pleased with this one. The seats and headlights are part of the clear plastic screen which is a bit odd, makes it nice to detail though. I almost polished this one but I wanted to paint all the bolts around the windscreen too Amishtat, Remspoor, w00dy and 4 others

bunglebus
Hat trick! This one might take some explaining - many years ago, pictures hit the interwebz of a baja bug in Japan - but slammed on its pan rather than high in the sky as is usual with these off-road bugs. People lost their shit over this car and it's always stuck in my mind So it had to be a bugeye with a sunroof - two castings I owned had this, the Matchbox Unfortunately the rear arches are too flat, and the base extends up the sides.. so the only choice was Maisto I had a rough one in the project box, had to throw the base away and chop some bits up to get it low and cambered... Paint is Vauxhall diamond black which has multi colour sparkles in it, of course the camera struggles to capture it barrett, Dick Longbridge, 500tops and 14 others

bunglebus
Today was Toy Fair day, but at a different location much closer to home - unfortunately it didn't have much to offer for me, only one 50p tub and a few others at £too much. There were a few nice pieces of eye candy around. £5 each on most of these Speed Kings era vehicles So I left 20 mins after I arrived and shot over to the late start boot sale. I was going to go to the main one too but overnight rain made me think it would be soggy and underpopulated. Unfortunately the late start one was also pretty empty but is at least on tarmac. Big boxes of cars at the first stall, but all £1-2 each or I would have bought loads. I did come away with a few, and found some bits and bobs on other stalls too. Mini bootlid was not purchased Split_Pin, Datsuncog, Remspoor and 2 others
bunglebus
Starting with the off brands, Zee Mustang, I normally only see these in black Kees/Polistil copy BMW M1 Maisto205 MC 928 just has to be a Matchbox copy Zee Corvette is an unusual find Aviva -Snoopy Kai Yip Ferarri? Still think I need to put illumination in one of these I know one of you found a nice example of the Corgi Elan recently but for 50p I wasn't complaining Not quite sure why I bought the Green Hornet's Black Beauty, can you get parts for these? Someone's custom CF ended up in the 50p tub What set is this Corgi boat from? I also grabbed this Matchbox trailer as I haven't seen the colour combination before Talking of Matchbox, not sure "bog buster" would go down too well now, but these monster trucks don't appear very often. Final incarnation of the Ruff Trek casting? Grille donor And a later incarnation in a more unusual colour scheme Today was mostly about Majorette, I really only grabbed this 50p survivor because of that awful casting error on the door There's lots more too Nice attempt at Copyright avoidance Corgi Sierra has something odd going on with the interior section Matra Lastly, I couldn't resist this in a 3 for £1 tub - I can just see some kid coming home from watching grass track racing with his dad and chopping up his Dinky Beetle. Think I'll leave this as-is AndyW201, andrew e, Spottedlaurel and 4 others

Lord Sterling
Well, I finally did it. I actually bought a 1.64 set of garages for my cars. I love garages, real ones (probably because I don't have one that I can regularly use, I rent one + a unit, but both not near home) and toy ones. I noticed a few shiters have these set of garages and searched eBat many were big prices but some reasonable but were snapped up and gone by the time I got paid. I then saw one advertised on eBay at £39.99 and offered less, then in the midst of negotiations, I found the same one for £8.99 'buy it now' SOLD to me 😁 You'll noticed I have modded it a bit, there is black tape on the roof (easily removed) to mock composite roofing used on real garages and the handles painted silver as you would expect on most real garages. It looks as near to real as I can get it but I'll look at other options like some mock-brick to stick on or something. You'll also notice the smaller 1.60 garages at the end. I bought this some years ago without doors for a couple of quid as many have been broken/been lost. I spotted some unpainted new replacement doors on eBay and snapped them up. They fit on Ok (after a tad bit of faffing about) but does need painting (as does the whole garage to be honest) I've also managed to re-fit the garage correctly as the roof was loose and thus the new doors kept falling off. Prior to the purchase whilst browsing on eBay, I spotted these '00' gauge garages (1.76 scale iirc) I sent the sellers an email asking if they are able to up the scale a bit as I'd love to have a set of these garages too for my 1.64s. They sell the 00 gauge garages as a build kit. AndyW201, Justwatching, AnnoyingPentium and 8 others

The axles are quite fragile, frequently you find them bent. I think I’m missing the Countach and the Volvo 480. The Rover Sterling seems a scarce one as well, the one in the picture I can remember my Grandfather taking me to the paper shop near us and it was in one of those display cabinets and picking it out. Memories eh! I like the Roadblasters but finding them with the plastic armaments still in place is difficult. Split_Pin
Laser wheels not only looked great, they were the fastest toy cars on the kitchen floor bar none. Probably due to the thin axles. I had the blue Saab, Sierra and I think I had the Lemans Car as well. All gone but I'd love a few again now!
