I don't know the guy in the market who kites on house clearance stuff I often get stuff from has suddenly put his prices up. Probably got wind I've made £50 in last month on flogging stuff on eBay I've bought off his stall. Serves him right for his poor business acumen 😀

again these were got off of ebay or at swapmeets recently, and been a tight wad they were all only a £1 or £2 to buy. i was thinking that they will get used on the trainset as/and when it gets built.

one thing i've noticed is that most exhibition layouts all use the same road vehicles. in fact go to seveal shows and you will be able to recognise the same vehicles on different layouts. so what better way to get around that, by using some vintage diecast vehicles from yesteryear.

I have both of the milk floats, they're lovely little models.  Of course the Bedford can be easily repainted, should you wish, to recreate the one that chased James Bond...

Cheers, it was a toyfair scrapbox find, needed new glazing which I made from a sheet of clear acetate, and I dug out my book 'The Mr Whippy Story', and noticed the body style was that of the Whippy Commer, so yoinked the Mr Whippy logo off the interwebs, played about in Photoshop and Corel to make up the graphics, and used Humbrol paints. Another I'd wished I'd kept. Just wished Oxford would now do a CF ice cream van in 1/43. We can but hope

Been having a mess about with my Commie Rickman Rangerski, converted to right hand drive using a Cararama mk1 Scrote dash, and changed the wheels for beefier looking Weller style rims, also from a Mk1 Scrote, this time an Ixo rally car, so in a way I've used old Scrotes as donor cars, just like the real thing LOL, took me about 10 mins to do, and looks 100 times better, just needs some UK numberplates and bosh! Job jobbed

As it was

Cooper racing version? I think you mean "mundane 1990s special edition version". It's a marvellous kit - despite that worrying "racing" word on the box, all the standard bits are here. You get the 1980s/90s steering wheel, the airbag wheel and the catalytic converter. You can even make it an automatic if you like - with the choice of early or late shifter!

Here it is next to the Revell version:
