Six-cylinder
In line with my policy to collect a 1/43 scale of every car I have owned or had as a company car here is my latest model a Visa, wrong grill but quite close on colour. Lukas
collect a 1/43 scale of every car I have owned Oh how I would love to do that. But sadly there are some cars I had in 1:1 with not one model available. mercrocker and eddyramrod
eddyramrod
Me too, and some that are, are horrifyingly expensive. I'm a bit more flexible with scale: mine run from railway trackside (so 1/72 at best) to 1/18, and I have near-equivalents rather than actual models. I'm not averse to a bit of painting and remodelling. Unless you know of an accessible-priced range that includes things like the FE Victor and 1968 Oldsmobile Delmont 88... There is an odd car or two I have not been able to find such as a Bond Equipe GT4. Then I once saw an unmade white metal kit for a Bond Equipe convertible but at £120 I let it pass, which I regret now as I have never seen another one. My 1994 Lexus LS400 is represented by a Lexus 430 as I have never found a 1/43 model of the earlier car. There are a few other near but not exact models. So I have not got a perfect collection but when I retire I will repaint some to match the cars I owned. The collection is now over 150 models with some duplicates to represent the duplicates I have had as company cars or owned. I have been collecting for over 20 years so while the odd model has cost a lot, overall the collection has been obtained at affordable prices. I have noticed that recently models are generally much more expensive.
Vantman
Apart from the obvious evil bay is there anywhere good to advertise this 1:43 Setra coach for maximum coinage please, i don't have a clue what it would be worth, but i do know it's not a cheap looking model. Split_Pin
Love those Matchbox. I have quite a few cars of my dad's which were badly repainted by him. Probably ship paint as thats where my grandpa worked. However, these ones are my favourites, a bit of family history with them. Its also a little funny as my dad is such a careful person when it comes to belongings. Charlie Croker, mercrocker and junkyarddog

RoadworkUK
Bloody hell you go to some good car boots! Ours are more in the broken cup-tree and cracked pyrex realms of quality. hazzalandy
If anyone knows of a 1:43 late model VW Type 3 fastback, please let me know! I have a 1/64 one (Matchbox 67b) I would consider selling it, although it's (original) metallic pink!
Junkman
The Matchbox 67b, as well as all 1/43 1600 TLs I know (Politoys, Norev, Minichamps, Dinky) depict the pre-facelift.The only models I know of the late 1600 TL, are the Minichamps 1/18, or the Wiking 1/40 and 1/87. Split_Pin
The 1/18 Minichamps one is excellent. Even has the hatch in the rear load area for engine access and a rubber mat to line the area.
Pillock
Shit, that's more than my 1:1 scale had. It comes in almost the right blue too, hmmmm.... Birthday soon! junkyarddog
Fantastic detail on those Type 3's I have a few Matchbox versions, quite pleasing little models. The red one is a regular wheels version,in very good shape. The other two superfast, sadly the purple one is missing a door, and the pink one is faded.Love the detail on them, despite the small scale. Split_Pin
You can get a dinky one as well but its one of the Company's late 60s offerings, in a slightly larger than 1/43 scale and horrendously ugly, like all Dinky(ies) of that era.
Junkman
I briefly mentioned the Dinky (which is very pretty btw., like all of Dinky's late 60s offerings) earlier and it's a pre-facelift.No post-facelift ones exist in 1:43.
