It's Carmine Red.

Same colour as our Maxi then. Having had cars in both colours I'm not sure how anybody could confuse them as Carmine is much darker (more of a maroon) than Vermillion (which is a definite orange). I'll let Oxford know and hopefully they'll pay attention.

EDIT: someone on Facebook has now suggested it's Emberglow. There are too many similar shades of red in the BL palette!

Just a few I’ve hoarded over the last few weeks!

My love of Corgi Major trucks is gradually getting me the complete set! I’ve got every type of Carrimore car transporter now, just a couple of colour variations outstanding!

The broken Ford H wrecker and the yellow Mack are likely going to be combined together somehow for my Ford H tractor unit project.

Kingsize Dodge Charger is actually the second one of these I’ve got now. This one’s really nice and their such good looking models I couldn’t put this one back so it came home with me, and the Dinky Volvo Amazon!

Well done on that King Size Charger - looks a good 'un!

It is really nice. Just a bit of paint wear on the front corners.
I strongly believe someone has been polishing it too! When I gave it a wash the water all beaded up like it does on real cars after a wax/polish! Someone was treating it well.

Ive got another one, not quite as nice but still very good if you fancy one yourself…😄

Those Kingsize chargers are perfect, you lucky bugger! I always keep an eye out at the swap meets for them.

They are lovely. Much nicer looking than the later hot rod versions imho. Seems a shame they changed the tooling for that and the blue standard car only lasted a year or so. Another model I’m confident would have sold well in original form but more colour choices. Missed opportunity!

Id like a complete but rough one to paint really, but both mine are far too good for that really.

Ill get some pics of the other one, I might move it on if someone wants a decent one?

The Charger's the only one I'm missing from my small collection of King Size cars, so if you've one going spare I'd be very interested!

PM’d!

If there’s another Charger needing a home I will stick my hand up for the next one!

I’ll keep an eye out for you. Tbh, they’re so nice I’d probably just buy them regardless if I spot them anywhere!😁

Might take you up on that!

There's been some restoration work going on here this afternoon.  Some shells in the stripping bath (four are still in there), some stripped and soaking in water to rinse the caustic.  Several others set aside for when I make up a little blob of filler for various holes.  Yet more shells sprayed in primer and now drying.

This morning I caught most of my favourite Carry On film: Cabby.  Guess what two of the shells are that I'm working on?  Yep, the Dinky Austin FX3.  Both are going to be black, of course.  @danthecapriman is also holding one for me, so I will eventually have three.  Think I need a Dinky mk1 Cortina now (because unlike the later Corgi Classic/Vanguard, it's the pre-facelift type) which I will have to convert to four-door.  I'm already doing that with a Vanguards mk2 and I have a Dinky Corsair on the way, for the same treatment.  Need a cutting wheel now for my not-a-Dremel!

Really pleased with how this has come out. I like yellow cars but didn't think it suited a 70s Yank, it was supposed to be gloss black with a matt bonnet, but after polishing the windows I realised the reverse worked better. Have a look at the real car and see how annoying it was trying to get the grille area looking correct

Pleased with the rear light accuracy

Headlights have Krystal Klear lenses that are still drying so should look better tomorrow

I finally managed to get the HW Porsche Carrera after the last one I found un Tesco had some kind of casting error and the front bumper was badly disfigured.

TK Maxx were also doing Majorettes for 2 quid. I'm not a big fan of modern cars but I do like toys depicting everyday cars which Majorette have always been very good at. This C3 fitted that description perfectly.

On the big shop now. Still no new Hot Wheels to be found, but B&M have restocked the F&F stuff, found the three JDM Yo! ones I was looking for,

Not everyones cup of tea on here, but they were still quite a find. People on the Facebook Hot Wheels groups are hoovering these up for £7-£8 a throw.

The Silvia is a nice casting, not seen many versions of it. As usual with this collection, detailing is a lot better than a mainline,

The Supra, however is a lovely thing, a bit more subtle than the other two,

That's 7 of the 10 got now. If I was a completist, I'd be thinking of now getting the Jeep and the two Chargers to finish the set.

But I'm definitely NOT a completist...

That is Digimon issue. A quick look at the interwebs suggest that they could have been issued from the year 2000.

Cor look at the purple buggy!
