@DatsuncogMarlin looks tidy.  Does it have good screen pillars and good screen?  If so, would be good here

Marlin was the first one I picked up, funnily enough - but a poor repaint with both pillars cracked and messily glued, a roughly drilled base, and missing a door.

I put it back...

Crikey 50p?  All three Monsters then

Can do! Or just the Bigfoot Ford, if you prefer.

A fiver for the Cougar?

Yes please.  I do have one and it is tidy.  That red one deserves an effort like this idea:  The car from Target

i617747.jpguntitled-196.jpg

Looks ideal - there's some light cracking to the glass, but it's otherwise complete and should respond well to another repaint. Will add it to your box!

Cor Golden Jacks Tornado please!

Sure thing! It's really quite nice.

Pretty sure that red Mercedes 230 SL is the Dinky France one and quite scarce.  Worth picking up for a few coins

The Nemesis took that one too - it was by Tekno. Missing glazing, and with the baseplate strangely bent out.

A Dinky France 230SL did show up on the stall a few years back - needed a full resto, but I think it was in the 50p box. Can't remember who ended up with it, but it was someone on here!

Corgi Ferrari Dino  isn't it?  For a fiver yes please, even with the borked spoilers and missing window

Sorry, I'm already away!

Did think hard about this, being a red-spot and all, but bust spoiler and missing hatch made me think twice.

Maybe next week...

I’m sure there was a blue Lotus Elan in there too! If that majorette Twingo made an escape hit me up!

There was both a blue Elan and a white Avengers Elan in there - minus windscreens, of course. The Nemesis took both of them - he had quite the big bag of stuff!

Twingo did indeed come back with me - will add that in with the Corsair for you!

Oh no a Tekno!  Ooooh I missed out there.  If I see it appear on 'bay then I will be able to tag and track the Nemesis...

I have the Spot-On hard top, bought in a weak moment while in a Cornish antique shop, the type with PRICE TAGS.  Don't ask how much I paid for it

The Dinky was actually bought in France last year, it was pretty much a tenner IIRC from a street market table, even missing the screen and a headlamp too

IMG_20230115_212143_1.thumb.jpg.19fec6106e30a191ef6525a737afbcb6.jpg

Picked up the New-Ray (the light red one) cheap, meaning to utilise the screen for the Franco Dinky, but it's a bit too nice on its own after all!

Horsas do not bomb.

They glide.

Because glider.

Glider 91 is significant because it landed the first troops in France on D-Day 6th June 1944.  They crossed the channel just after midnight, captured Pegasus bridge intact and the Cafe on the bank of the Caen canal was the first building to be liberated in Normandy

I think you should still do it as that looks to be based on a plastic kit (Airfix, Tamiya?) I did a Crayford Mk2 based on an Airfix 1/32 years ago. Unfortunately not much is left after being moved from one box to another.

Got myself a couple more old Hot Wheels models,

Ford Fairmont and Dodge pickup. I had both of these when I was a kid but they’ve long since disappeared so bagged these two off eBay. The Fairmont is in really nice condition, Dodge is good too and the bed cover is complete which my old one was missing.

Home again - and today's finds stashed away in respective tat boxes.

A varied selection, but I'm well pleased with them! The Cougar and Toronado are great, but the Impala is unquestionably the star of the show.

Just goes to show, you never know what might turn up...

Happy Friday, kids.

Ford Fairmont

Is the Fairmont named 'Frontrunnin'?  They rarely look that tidy, they look more like this!

Are those the actual prices,or just old stickers?

Screenshot_20230224-160553_Chrome.jpg

Actual prices - £9.99 each.

I really didn't think they'd be on the stall for more than an hour or two, but this is the third week they've been there.

Unless he has a few dozen of each colour and just keeps replenishing...

I remember painting those two!  Must have been the far side of 30 years ago.

I'm quite upset about that Cresta, it's a colour scheme I don't have, and particularly want.  The Jensen and an Elan would have found homes here too, as would the red Victor that was next to the Cresta, if the price was right.

I did not know that!

I got them off Dr Retro Pandamonium

Then you might be pleased to hear Doris took it out for a run just now

Hot Wheels called it the Racing Stocker, but it's clearly a gen-2 Buick Regal

First off this Dimachinni Veloce, which is apparently completely fictional but actually is a fantastically cool looking design, with elements of Lancia Stratos.

I collect rally cars and off roaders, so I had to have this new shape Bronco. Just a cool looking update of the classic design.

The piss de resistance was this awesome Nissan Patrol Y60. I’d really like a full size one, they didn’t sell many in the UK because it wasn’t high status enough for the Range Rover brigade. I did have a quick go in my mate’s dad’s one which was a straight six petrol (same block as a Skyline) and it was pretty awesome. Nowadays they nearly all live in Romania and have been fitted either with the actual engine from a GTR Skyline or the M57 engine from a BMW 330 or 335d. Probably the most awesome off roader ever built.

Still looking for a Hotwheels 80 Series Landcruiser.
