I ventured into the loft this afternoon.

I seam to remember someone posted up a mint version of this, majorette?

these were always my favourite. Superkings had opening parts and working suspension. The merc and jag were up there, right at the top.

this Range Rover is majorette I think. It didn’t come with this caravan, but it fits. I can’t remember what it came with, probably a boat or similar.

a lot of my stuff is matchbox, corgi, majorette by the looks of it.

Great little collection! The Superkings Testarossa and the Mercedes SL eluded me in Woolworths, before I moved on to Corgi Classics and the like.

I think it’s a 911, but yeah they’re a great scale and really good quality.

A couple of mildly interesting arrivals, got the first two off a guy on Facebook for the cost of the postage

Then a Dinky Celica - I've got almost all of these Kidco rebrands now but they don't turn up often

My Mini Manifique arrived from @danthecaprimanand I'm delighted with it.

One has been on my bucket list for years. Out of the myriad Mini castings available at the time, one with full opening features was what I wanted.

It's in great condition. I have ordered a pack of 20 jewelled lights on ebay for a fiver so I can also fix my polis Beetle.

All this Mini talk caused another garden meet.....

And not only that, I'd not realised until now how different the 'same' Corgi models were - nothing is shared, not even the glazing!  Madness.

TMK 428Y was done by an engineer in Norfolk.  Currently on a SORN, last on the road 5 years ago

Here's one I made earlier thanks to Oxford Diecast making both Rover and Volvo. The model actually looks more elegant than the real one.

Rovolvo SD245

Rolvo or Vover?

@Slowsilver has actually seen TMK in the flesh. It belonged (and probably still does) to a chap in Bedford who was selling a blue Maxi he ended up not buying. I think it had been damaged and was waiting to be fixed.

Forgot to mention when this was posted - looks like a recasting of the unusual Corgi Juniors Dodge Magnum!

That said, the front end is die cast on the weirdo, plus the rear opera window is cut out - and in fact, the rear windows themselves seem different sizes. And the front wings are elongated on the white one. So maybe not...

Funny old casting to be made twice, unless there was a Dodge Magnum featured in a TV series at the time? Failed promotional tie-in?

Funny that was posted earlier as the little collection here has been wanting to get out and about

Had no time for these Kidco-Dinky, until they kept appearing on this forum!  This is all your fault you lot.  Not entirely sure what the allure is, but most likely something emotional about the final days of Dinky…

Trying to avoid* getting the missing ones.  And why?  They are not nearly in Mini-Dinky or Lone Star league, but also occupy that same shelf.  But… do have snazzy paint/decals and in some cases AN OPENING THING

Toyota Celica, Chevrolet Chevette, Honda Accord

Chevrolet Camaro (owned since a boy), Pontiac Firebird, BMW E25 Turbo

There is an imposter in this set. But which is it?  Only a true Kidco-Dinky expert will know. And that’s how it starts.
