Not something I've ever seen before/know anything about so feel free to ignore me. Obviously something funny going on with the headlamps, but otherwise I'd say it looks identical to this one - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/253878502247  .... and considering that one's more than £600, I'd hope it was a pukka original. Bumpers are similarly 'rough' and the roof rack look brand new. The paint quality is also very similar. I reckon if that has been in a box for most of its life that could well be genuine. Are the headlamps glued in? Could it be losing its 'stick' and they're starting to slip out?

Anyway, this one for £30 looks a much better bet to my eyes https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204131066255

OK maybe me thinking it looked wrong when I'm wrong really!

Sorry if it seemed I was looking to buy one, I was actually looking at sticker kits for Dinky Prisoner Mini Mokes and ebay suggested this to me (?)

As I said earlier I already have my (fucked up) childhood original and this one I bought for Mrs Concern a couple of years ago for about £15 including repro surf dude and one board (it came with one anyway)

Looks to me as good or better than that one but hey...

I'm having the same problem uploading pics as alluded to previously, so see if this link works...

@Noel TidybeardThanks for the link, but as above

I could easily buy all of the Mini Club re releases, but I don't know what I'd do with them really. I did buy the Monte Carlo one anyway!

(again site won't let me put a picture on!)

As I said, I dunno what I'm talking about but it killed 15 minutes of my evening comparing details between different examples!

Anyway, this should also go on the other thread but this sees more traffic so I'm putting it here. Can one of you PLEASE buy this?

Since we've also recently learned about how lovely Kirk/Tekno commercial vehicles of this period are... a 1:43 Ford D-series in immaculate condition with box etc This must be an absolute beast! I have one model truck and that's frankly more than enough so I'm not touching it. Currently £35 with no bids, there's another on BIN for £100 more so a potential bargain for somebody...

Damn this thread, all the way to Hades!

I'm supposed to be cutting down on diecast buying. It's all your fault I was sitting outside Poundland at ten to eight yesterday morning, before they opened!

Still, mission accomplished!

Although, there was only this Honda and a weird 1940s style panel van thing on the pegs, but the S2000 is a nice wee thing.

Nice bit of detail under that opening bonnet. VTEC Yo! indeed.

A nice model all round. A lot better than the Hot Wheels S2000.

Not much in the way of Hot Wheels there, but I did like the yellow Copo Camaro in the latest case, so grabbed this earlier release.

WANTED!

If you've looked at my Life of Shite thread (link below) then you will know I like to have models of my/my family's old cars.  You'll also have noticed, I'm sure, that where possible I'm trying to upgrade the collection from a motley assortment of sizes, to a fairly-consistent 1/43 scale.  To this end, I would like to put out an appeal here: I need some dirt-cheap old Vanguards to modify.  Specifically I need a couple of Ford 100E saloons and a mk2 Cortina.  They can be as playworn as you like as long as they have all their wheels, lights, bumpers.  Windows I'm not so bothered about as I can make sections as I need them.  Note that these cars are only available in two-door form: I want to see if I can satisfactorily convert them to four-door to match the cars I remember.  Paint doesn't matter at all as they will definitely be getting painted!

Welcome additional models would be: Vauxhall PA; Austin A40 Farina; Hillman Minx; a four-headlight mk3 Cortina; mk1 Granada.

I do realise that Vanguards in the sort of condition I require are thin on the ground, but if anybody is likely to know of any, then I would expect it to be a Shiter.  I will of course be suitably grateful.

Grim news folks, the exclusive only deal with Tesco ends in Dec which would explain why they are reduced to a £1. No other retailer has been suggested to take over so that’s not a good sign.

Might it be a good thing if every retailer can have a crack? Certainly Hot Wheels are much easier to come by.

We’ve been down this road before, when the Asda deal petered out we were left for months waiting for a new one to be set up. I don’t know how these people survive in business with their odd ways of marketing.

Corgi Model Club have had to omit the word "Citroen" from the upcoming release

They also confirmed via a FB post that the VW roundel had to be added to the base of the African Safari Beetle to placate Volkswagen. I'm hoping there won't be too much of this BS as I can't see why a replica of a 50 year old toy impacts on the sales of a vehicle manufacturer in any way. VW are notorious for not letting anyone use their name or anything like it, or imagery of their vehicles, unless you want to sell as an "Official Volkswagen Product" like the T shirts you see in Tescos with a split bus on them. Quite a few companies using names like Volks Spares or similar have been threatened with legal action from our humourless German friends.

Anyway, the CITROEN DS 19 will just be referred to as the DS 19 from now on, or else...

I have always referred to Citroens as Shitrons, even though I do like most of their pre ZX cars.

The VW lawyer thing is nothing compared to their neighbours from Munich, they went completely berserk when they got their hands on the word MINI.

Spot the difference!

At first sight I thought that all three of these Mining Trucks were identical. Two of them are from the same manufacturer although produced 13 years apart. Can you name the manufacturers and years of production?

I will provide the answers tomorrow if not.

The two that are the same are Matchbox 58 Faun Dump Truck. Originally made from 1976 to 1982. The casting is still used today.

I picked this up from a charity shop but do not know what it is supposed to be? Underneath it says Hot Wheels 1993 Mattel Inc China. It is a bit weird because it has no doors. I just liked the green and yellow pattern.

I'm sure I had one of these until my big clearout.  I think it's a 90s Pontiac Firebird, issued as a race car hence the lack of door detail.

As above, just called '93 Camaro, but that's a 1995 McDonald's version, presumably a Happy Meal Giveaway

Would you be able to grab that DeLorean for me at all please?

It's probably gone but worth a try.

I pondered getting it but there were similar ones on eBay for the same price - I can't get back there until probably Sunday anyway
