I think it may have had its wheels replaced with Dinky/Tootsie toy rubber tyres wheels (Edit: unless the item in the link has had its original wheels replaced, as the listing refers to rubber tyres). It was produced from 1930-39. https://www.toymart.com/picture_gallery.php?model_id=41534 Edited 8 minutes ago by RayMK Further info. Thanks Ray, I immediately thought it was Dinky as some of the other stuff I've got seems to be (on eBay now folks!) but yep, definitely T & B. Seems to be a pricey piece in mint condition with box. Yours must be worth at least a few hundred on a good day. outlaw118
No box unfortunately, think it was my late Grandad's. He gave me the Dinky Dunlop Tyres bus (listed on ebay) and this years ago - like 30? when he moved in with his (now late) wife! RayMK

Dick Longbridge
Longbridge Jr was given a box of cars by a friend recently. In amongst the modern rubbish is this gem - a late 70s HW. A quick look around the interwebz suggests it may have not been sold on these shores? Interesting that 'Hong Kong' has been removed from the base too... purplebargeken
Got some model stuff that needs to find a new home/homes. These are made kit models of planes, a couple of motorbikes and a JPS race car. Sizes vary from 1/76 to 'bigger', a pound coin gives an idea of scale. If it all goes in one hit, then great but splitting is ok. They have been built to a nice standard but am unsure of make. Location is Merseyside. Prices.... whatever really but not going to be OTT. A good home is vital. Remspoor, Justwatching, RayMK and 2 others
sierraman
Oh for the days when you could advertise fags on toys. I had a Mira Renault 21 advertising some brand of fags on it, probably those Ducados high tar bastards that leave you sounding like Bonnie Tyler. andrew e
Got round to disinfecting my haul of (wait for it….) 3 for a £ majorettes and others! Hidden beneath all the pretty things in a box on a floor were these chipped and battered yet throughly enjoyed selection - I was grinning like a 7 year old, not a 47 year old 😁 Yup thats a Corgi Dodge Magnum! Snowmobile is majorette and has a lovely rubber belt track beneath too. Heading iver to the £ selection (it was a surprise day, let me tell you!) is this corgi and Husky selection, and a couple of 800 which I always collect when I see them. Finally I had to pay a pint for these two 😁 Pretty happy with that AND they wernt on the floor in a box of disease 🤣 So bargains can be had at Toyfairs its the luck of the draw 👍 AndyW201, Datsuncog, eddyramrod and 10 others

Lastly I saw these in Poundstretcher Got excited for a moment because some of the mystery models are rather good, and you can work out which ones are in each bag. Unfortunately these are Hot Wheels Reward Cars - they're all generic castings. Datsuncog and Remspoor

RoadworkUK
I own a blue and silver Corgi Mazda B1600, which has never, to my knowledge, had a tailgate. Can anybody tell me whether that could be because it was originally part of this set?: The one on the box art doesn't appear to have a tailgate, either. The camper version was only made in red and white as far as I know. The blue and silver was the first release of the B1600, I seem to recall Datsuncog saying the silver was a last-minute change to make it slightly more appealing Campers don't have a tailgate as the rear body locks in place where it would be RoadworkUK and andrew e

Honestly don't know, I do remember a couple of toy shops that sold Hot Wheels in the 80s but I didn't get very many. I know I bought this Turboa which came out in 86/87 And this Cobra from 88 There doesn't seem to be much info about specific markets but I don't think things were as complex as they are now. Hot Wheels just made toy cars and sold them where they could Dick Longbridge
RoadworkUK
Cheers Bungle and Mini. Yeah, I'm not sure where my B1600 came from. Might have acquired it in a school jumble sale or something. AndyW201
Damn. When there's a drought of Hot Wheels, I'm like "Never mind, I'm giving them up anyway. I can plunge my meagre disposable income into 1/43 instead" My local Tesco are always shite anyway for HW and Matchbox, so when I got sent there for a few bits, I knew I was safe. Shite! There was a full dump bin, new case stuff as well. Haven't seen a release of this for a while. Haven't seen it on any of the preview vids either. Looks nice in orange (despite the flipping chrome interior...) They've slightly tweaked the lovely Chevelle casting to make this mean looking bugger. Sadly my shit phone and the crappy design of the plastic blister means I can't capture it very well. Nice contrast between the shiny black paint and matt stripes. This version comes without the bonnet and with a decently rendered engine bay. Slotmags too! Nice '70s vibe with this funny car. Great paint and tampos. And a slightly more stock looking 'Stang The Copo Camaro looks fairly factory original this time round.. Another version of one of my fave castings of the year. Can't wait for the beige one! And a modern one to finish off. I do like the E-Tron though, one of the few EVs I'd happily rock. (In about 20 years time when it's shed about 90% of its value like nearly all the German cars I've owned). Like all HW Audi's, front and rear detail is superb, Those are what I grabbed today. There were a few I had to actually leave behind too, as seeing as I only went there to grab some Gruyere and sourdough (Croque Monsieur FTW!) I felt I had to show some restraint! Oh, and don't even bother asking about Matchbox... eddyramrod, Split_Pin and andrew e
