Datsuncog
Some good finds over at the market at lunchtime. Didn't get absolutely everything on the shopping list, as some had already gone - but hopefully enough to give everyone some of those warm 'n' fuzzy Tat Friday vibes. Pics to come. bunglebus, Split_Pin and RoadworkUK 1
bunglebus
Tomica Mog and Mondo Motors R4 in the charity shop. At £7 for the bag, they stayed there. Some of the bags of cars were £10! Split_Pin

And some quite interesting ones, too, at £5 a throw. Corgi CMB double-axle isn't one I've seen before. Not sure who makes this one: is 'Distinctive Double Deckers' a brand name, or a tagline? Another Far Eastern version of a Dennis Dart - unsure of the manufacturer here - NWFB? Box design, resembling a very stretched bus front end, took me a while to realise what it was. Pair of Collector's Model Leyland Victories look unopened - think these are similar to the one I picked up for @Split_Pin a few years back? B-T Models Leyland Leopard just below them looked interesting, too. Not a bus, but this AEC ladder turntable with Glasgow lettering was nice. I think I passed a similar one on a few years back to someone here? Again, while I'm kinda done with speculative buying these days, if there's anything tasty that takes your fancy, I'll be heading back over at 12 for some hoover bags... omg. If I'd seen this earlier, I would have asked for many buses from this stall.

Datsuncog
Ok then - where are we? 4 hours ago, RoadworkUK said: If the vendor still has the double-axle Corgi CMB, and one or other of the other CMBs, and / or the London Transport National, I'd gladly remunerate you for picking them up. Sadly, the Corgi CMB double-axle had already been swiped in the interim - but one of the CMB Victories was still there, as was the OOC LT National, so I nabbed them while I had the chance, at £5 a pop. Shaping up to be a decent little parcel for you! 3 hours ago, Split_Pin said: Hey Tim I'd be interested in either of the BT Models Leyland leopards if they're around a fiver? The Maidstone & District Leopard was gone, but the Wallace Arnold/ Evan Evans example was still on the table... Looks really nice! 3 hours ago, junkyarddog said: If all the ramps and doors ECT are intact then yes please, even if you can get a discount from him I'll still give you a tenner for it,plus post down south obvs. 😊 Well, it seems to be all complete... I'm not sure exactly what these came with when new, but all four ramps and both header boards seem to be present... And the rollers inside do indeed roll. Nice. Little slide-out auxiliary power unit is a nice touch. The tractor unit - a Henschel F201S - is in great nick: Detailed engine under the cab, too: Hope this is decent enough for you, dude! Not a minter - but looks like it'll display nicely. The best bit: since I was buying it with the three buses, he only charged me £20 all-in. So this'll only cost a fiver + post. 3 hours ago, Split_Pin said: The Collectors Model Victories are excellent boxed at a fiver. The one I got from you back in January 2021 was an ABC example though, which is next level in comparison and are quite sought after. I always wanted one when they came out in 1999 but the Collectors model ones were more affordable. The Corgi one is great too and will carry the number ESF647W as it was repatriated to Scotland about 20 years ago and it lives at the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum. Just last month I saw it trundling around giving lifts to punters around the grounds! I have the NWFB version which was the last to come out of service in 2000 so sold my CMB example quite a while ago. Yep, that's the very one - I had a cursory look this morning and dimly registered the W-suffix numberplate, but didn't give it too much thought. A closer look at the model and the box shows the full story: Excellent! Quote The definitive decker is an OOC ECW Olympian, quite nice in Arriva Livery. If its a fiver I'd be interested in it! Sadly the Arriva-liveried Olympian in the Royal Mail box was also already sold - sorry about that! 3 hours ago, bunglebus said: Hope I'm not too late - pink Whoosh N Push, blue Corgi Porsche 917 and Marx Jeep would be welcome in my collection... @Datsuncog Heh, saw your message just in the nick of time and trotted back... although the box had been fairly well picked over, those three were still in there. I've had a look on the Matchbox Wiki pages for that pink No.58 Woosh-N-Push - but strangely, it's not listed. It shows a maroon version with the No.8 sticker, which was apparently the final incarnation of this casting for 1976 only, but it deffo isn't pink like this. One for looking up later, I think! Oh, and on opening my desk earlier I found all these from a fortnight ago: You'd mentioned an interest in the bird-splat Supra, but they're all yours if you fancy them. I really won't do anything with them, they just tickled me when I saw them. 4 hours ago, sierraman said: The yellow Marzal is quite scarce. It was in the 1973 Broomstick set, where you got a unique model and a orange plastic thing that you used to drag the car along. Ah, I had a feeling I hadn't seen one in that colour before - cheers! If it hadn't had broken glazing as well as wonky wheels, then I might have considered it... There was a standard pink version in there too, but it wasn't a whole heap better, really. So there we are... Another Friday. And I bought myself some... vacuum bags. Which was actually the most expensive item I bought today, at £6. Yeah, I know... I could have had a Greenlight Plymouth Satellite station wagon for that money, but I daresay it wouldn't help suck up plasterboard dust quite as well. Oh, alright - I did pluck these out for myself. I had both of these as a kid, and they ended up completely trashed and eventually disposed of - this pair are very clean, and I think will make worthy examples for the toybox collection. So - I guess that's it for this week! Happy Friday, kids. Tenmil Socket, junkyarddog, eddyramrod and 6 others 6

The one I've found today must be just a bit pinker than some others. Yeah, it seems a great wee model - it's pretty lightweight but the shape and paintwork's nice, so I can see why you were after one! Definitely good value at that price, too. No rush, again these are being cached in a locked desk pedestal so they'll not be going anywhere. I'll have to start setting some boxes aside here... 20 minutes ago, junkyarddog said: Oh wow! It's a great model, and not one I was aware of - I'll have a flick through my early-80s Siku catalogues later and see if I can find out what else came in the set when new. As an aside, I still have a sealed Hot Wheels Volvo 240 drift wagon looking for a new home, should anyone wish to add it to their order for £1.50? I think it may have had its wheels replaced with Dinky/Tootsie toy rubber tyres wheels (Edit: unless the item in the link has had its original wheels replaced, as the listing refers to rubber tyres).
