RichardK
I am an adult honest: This in Tesco made me so frustrated. Thieving shits, it's not like they're expensive models. Or food. Still, I am finding some rare ones in the mix. Still only buying things on appeal rather than trying to complete sets. Though my colleagues got me a "get well soon" set. I have a couple of spares... This isn't counting the unboxed ones around the house, which I may have shared - the windowsill of 4x4s being the main collecting bug, but now I am focused on Art Cars that I like (so very picky, I'm liking the Mondrian pickup for example). Some of the factory or J-import sets may go if I need to make space. 4x4s and cars I've owned/dream cars are always the priority! Split_Pin
I got this one in Home Bargains in Bathgate of all places. I think I have every generation of Civic now between New Ray, Matchbox, Hotwheels and Tomica. Datsuncog, Remspoor and RichardK
RichardK
Technically I have that Civic, but put aside in case a friend doesn't find one. Same reason I wanted a Muira.

I suppose I'd better share my exciting* purchases with you all Morning bootsale saw not a lot of excitement unless you wanted a beige telephone A pedal car A motorised bicycle (fuel tank/seat post arrangement is especially pleasing) Old number plates Or Hitler's garden gate However there was one seller with plenty of old Matchbox Corgi etc - not 50p bargains but I was pleased with the 4 I bought Especially pleased with Ironside's truck as this has been a hard one to find - Ironside himself has trundled off to solve some crimes Rockets Bertone and the "burnt" Duplo coach are in lovely condition, and the Lone Star Fiat is complete and restorable. bunglebus
OK I know not everyone will like these, but these boxed pull-back cars were too cheap to leave behind. The Merc SEL is branded a Welly on the base, but the others are unbranded one of very few Hot Wheels worth buying, Dixie Challenger (Roger Dodger) was Mattel's way of avoiding Dukes of Hazzard copyright Pretty good Matchbox Nissan 270X And a K-35 Lightning Andrew E pointed out this trailer in among a serious pile of them (must have been a dozen boat trailers and half as many yellow car versions) as being the one that carries the ugly white Porsche behind the yellow van. I've probably got one but... Blue is one of the less seen colours on the ovloV I found a Field Car in a multipack but don't mind a loose one Newer version of the VW bus in a livery I didn't have Not a bad Racing Mini Miura is a body donor to allow the resto of the broken yellow regular wheels i found recently Thought this was an early Lesney but it's a Benbros Clean Corgis - Polo has been detailed nicely by someone Majorette horsebox - with horse 944 ain't great but should be restorable Why did I buy this? I already have one as a stalled project but for 50p... No regrets on this buggy though, think i have the choice of 5 colour bodies and two bases now - they clip together and are easy to customise/parts swap Tomica bus I'm hoping Mr. Flowers does a windscreen for the Dinky "Sam's Car" Joal Simca is a repaint but too unusual to resist I know some of you will enjoy seeing this Vanguards Cav Don't think I've missed anything..? bunglebus
Oh yeah - I think this big (1:11!) Gama remote control Merc has been on display before Well, @andrew eand I both laid eyes on it at once and made enquiries - going half each on the £** it cost. It is a beast!! Just to give you a sense of its enormity even the remote control is listed as an offensive weapon, with three D cells powering the thing via a long cable. I bet it was a very wealthy family that bought this for Junior when it was new Kinda puts my other plastic fantastic, by Buddy L to shame Here are some other bits wot I saw Those got hoovered up moments after I took the pic at £8 each/deal for multiples. Dinky 2CV was appealing These were all plastic bodied and interesting but I had skinted myself Dickie Kak stayed on the table As did these official Ford models of MK4 Escort and Sierra Split_Pin, Datsuncog, RichardK and 6 others

andrew e
I’d like to say I had more resolve…. but hey-ho! These 3 beauties cost £17 which is not outrageous for the glamorous looks! andrew e
I have always wanted an early small door one of these - for a £10 it didn’t really Hertz much. It’s in lovely cared for condition though it does seem to have carried plenty of plasticine inside on its last hire! andrew e
Lastly from the pound and 50p bins these 4 - of course the chassis off the green Carabo is too short for the C11! (It started as "just Jeeps" because I had a Wrangler test car and did not want to give it back ever). A familiar one? Another 1:18 - usually I only do 1:43 but it was a present. Shame I'm selling the car but the model's a 3.5 facelift PRHT anyway. Spottedlaurel
At pretty much the exact moment @bunglebus was purchasing that Majorette horsebox, I found myself one here: Complete with lady singing accompanied by mechanical accordion, it was very French. The horse has bolted. RR at least had its ladder and is the best of the three. Majorette Monte Carlo is a bit chunky. Seller also had a Mercedes which I already have and rather battered examples of Golf Mk1 and Escort Mk3/4 which I left behind. He managed to keep his cigarette going throughout the whole exchange. Drew a blank at a couple of other sales. At one it rained and everyone packed-up or covered their stock, and the last was at a spooky derelict chateau where it was only really the owner selling off some stuff. Think I had a blue with red seats once, as well. The remake loses the chrome scoops but gains an opening bonnet. I think the carry cases I got will get filled with cars I remember, starting with said challenger, the purple Europa, Lincoln Continental, Volvo 480ES, the orange and tampo print Countach, grey BMW M1, brown Rover SD1 with sunroof, VW1600 TL, Renault 5, CX Safari and the little Mercury wagon with dogs looking out of the back. andrew e, bunglebus and eddyramrod

I’d go with white and a header board in red and the Matchbox 1-75 seventies thing emblazoned on it.
