1972 AMC Matador in 1:64 scale by Greenlight. Came with US Marshall decals that I didn't want, but easily removed with rubbing alcohol.

That's one of my favourite American cars and I've been looking at those little Greenlight versions recently but they all seem to be liveried - taxis, cop cars etc. That's the most standard road car version I've seen - do you have a source for these that doesn't have insane postage added?

Was back in the office for the first half of the week, which wasn't conducive to lunchtime diecast action - but for today, have a Corgi Commer FC ¾ Ton panel Van:

Missing a front tyre (and could probably do with a full set, really - they're quite cracked). Annoyingly, changing tyres on these is a base-off job, requiring drilling.

It's a pretty plain offering, but of course its party piece is...

The removable rear section, activated by rotating a small screw on the base using a coin edge.

This particular model was once part of the Gift Set 24 Commer Constructor Set, launched in August 1963, comprising two Commer chassis units in red and white, plus a panel van body unit in red, a pick-up body unit in yellow, an ambulance body in white with blue windows, and a milk float body in blue with a plastic milk crate insert. The lucky recipient could then mix and match bodies and bases as desired.

It's a pretty cool toy. I did see an almost complete and boxed set at the Friday Tat Market a few years back, but the £50 price tag was a bit strong for me.

The red Commer base was also available separately as the #465 Commer Pick-Up Truck, combined with the yellow pick-up rear body, while the ambulance and milk float versions were also made available separately the following year (#463 and #466 respectively) - but the red panel Van rear seen here only ever came with the Gift Set.

The same casting was also used in the #464 Police Van, which came with a blue flashing light. The removable rear section allowed access for an AA size battery.  For 1965, the ambulance casting was also made available as a military ambulance (#354) by simply changing the paint scheme to olive drab.

And also...

Trans-o-lite headlamps, too - interestingly, only the red chassis version was fitted with these, while the white chassis Commer and blue police van just had ordinary silver-painted cast metal lights.

Corgi's designers must have had a soft spot for the Commer, as in late 1967 they also produced a completely retooled minibus version of the revised FC in blue and white with an outside broadcast camera crew mounted on top and 'Samuelson Film Service Limited' decals (#479 Commer Mobile Camera Van), which was refinished in orange and white the following year as the Holiday Camp Special Commer Minibus (#508). The film crew bus was produced until 1971.

The real-life equivalent Commer became the Dodge SpaceVan and, rather incredibly, soldiered on until 1983...

Small red Corgi. Nothing opens and has a plastic base. I could not find a model number either.

Well this is where I got my one from. Not sure about postage - I use the "collector's box" facility to hold my cars until I've got enough to qualify for free shipping.

Never knew they did a garage. They were part of a give away at Fina petrol stations as well plus were sold in the shops, I remember getting one and my mum misunderstood that it was a collectors item so I had to keep it on a shelf. As investments go it’s worth fractionally less than the £1.75 I paid for it in 1994. It’s no Bitcoin let’s say...

So that is where that came from. I have one but it is almost falling apart so I never unfolded it when I was going through my cars. Thanks for the info on the red mini I did not know about the giveaway either. I am too cheap to have purchased Kellogg's. Maybe someone gave them to me.

The rear bumper is missing an end but looks spot on otherwise. I've got a red one still boxed in the depths of the loft somewhere.

I bought this Lambo yesterday out of that pile I pictured at Asda

Good that they've started selling single Majorettes.I liked it when Morrison's sold them for 99p,then Tesco did them but that didn't last long 🙁

I remember when Morrisons still sold the RealToy cars. I had tons of them. Might still be some left too. :)
