First up, some long card goodness from Morrisons,

Having previously owned 2 square '90s Mercs in Signal Red with headlight wipers, I was pleased to find this version of the 500E!

The new-ish Trueno casting is lovely and this version looks great. They've not gone too OTT with the graphics and it's nice to see them using fat, small diameter wheels.

I'm a sucker for the Chevelle SS wagon casting, so had to grab this one.

Asda came up with a rather yellow-tinged selection,

IMG_20220412_193421.thumb.jpg.1f17bb3f92ceb8d55f658a51e3d89838.jpg

I thought this was a concept car or something but it appears to be the actual new Z. Mattel seem to be quick off the blocks getting this one out.

Another yellow S2000, with  different graphics this time,

I got excited when I found the yellow A Class, as I thought it was the yellow EK9 Civic, but it was not to be,

And I'm very tempted to open this one for some Rola-Matics type fun...

Not a bad haul, but still not a flipping Sierra to be found anywhere.

Sigh..

I think they hit the nail on the head with that one, quite tempted to drop mine nice and low, although I do get the reason for the stance.

The Rolamatic feature is great to see again too, even if they don't call it that

Not much on the Matchbox front over this side of the water either: a scant couple of unwanted baggage trucks is all that remained in the Tesco dump bins last time I looked, while stock on the pegs was restricted to the modern London taxis on the 'UK Collection' long cards.

It's fortunate, in a way, as it means that temptation hasn't been waving at me...

I had not heard of DG toys but it is apparently an MG model Y that you've got. Rather nice, as is the Lonestar. See link for a bit on DG:

A few bits from the last few days

Corgi Rockets Cadillac,I didn't have this version20220416_190408.thumb.jpg.0b0d3ca25e2a835d9ea3336ef22a5348.jpg

Corgi De Tomaso,I really like these late versions of cars with Whizzwheels. The Mercedes is by Galanite ,I was hoping the black marks would come off,but no luck yet🙁.These two both came from Surrey Street Rodders Wheels Day20220416_190431.thumb.jpg.56a978638174c0d6357304c66b873542.jpg

More Corgi Rockets, these were bought to either fix others,or to be fixed with parts I already have20220416_190044.thumb.jpg.980a528fc04ff8a9bd651125ad2510f9.jpg

These last two came from a local garage sale. The sellers probably thought we'd buy a lot of stuff when I turned up in my Citroen Relay work van,but these were all we bought 😁.The TR7 is by MC Toys20220416_185851.thumb.jpg.6016139ea0eb856b7a9e0437a6ea9a79.jpg

Lots of nice finds on here lately, I've been keeping off eBay as anything interesting seems to get bid way up now.

Boot sales are go though, off to my local one tomorrow.

I have that same glow in the dark Datsun with the doors cast shut

Matchbox Superfast 67 Datsun 260 Z 2+2

and a similarly equipped Corvette

Matchbox Superfast 62 Chevrolet Corvette

Not found the Cortina yet, are there others?

I’ve all three but it was too tidy to leave behind for 50p, also scored an Alfa 75, really grubby but it’ll clean up. The Super GT fills a gap, there’s loads of variations with these some scarcer than others, these hold a bit of a fascination for me being one of the last models made at Rochester in 1985 before production moved to Macau.

First half of the boot sale saw me buy nothing - then all of a sudden I found loads, ended up buying a whole box from one seller and various others all at a few pence each. Going to take me a while to catalogue this lot

20220417_102404.thumb.jpg.55d311409f0efcbfea3d97bbfd24a3b2.jpg

Yep I bought the Matchbox carry case too

Just got time to show you this before we go to the outlaw's for Easter dinner - I had one of these tumbling buggies when I was a kid, so couldn't resist a boxed one for £2.00

Zodiac toys sticker on the Buggy! That must be late  80’s at the newest!

https://zodiactoys.wordpress.com

Well I would have had mine in the early 80s. Too young to remember where from but I have a strong memory of making it climb and tumble over in the hall of my mum's house.

Checking on eBay has assured me it was a good buy as most others are lots more money and have no headlight lenses.

When did barcodes become a thing? Box has none.

Be careful what you Google!

Late '80s I think on barcodes.

I vaguely recall having a tumbling buggy, maybe in red?

I have heard back from the original interested party in the cortina and silver taxi. He’s stepped back, so these two are available still @NorfolkNWeighand @AnthonyG

I’d like the Cortina , please. If the taxi is a 240d Merc then that as well, but I don’t remember seeing one in your posts probably not.

It’s a silver royal jubilee edition, Anthony was asking about it. I did have a stack headlamp green/white polizei Mercedes but not sure where it went.

Again is £5 ok posted? I don’t think it can go large letter because of the beacon on the roof.

Perfect, thanks.  If the Merc ever turns up I’ll have it- Corgi got a lot of use out of that Stroke/8 casting. Rally car, Taxi , Polizei plus different colours of normal saloon- I’m sure our caravan came with a silver 240d. From memory it only only became available at about the time the W123 superseded the W114/115.

Rude.

It has taken me flipping hours going through all those cars, not too much in there that's amazingly rare but there are a few standouts, starting with the larger stuff...

Do you remember me finding a Buddy L Spiderman Corvette a few years ago?

Buddy L Chevrolet Corvette

Well today I located the van to go with it

20220417_18063520220417_180640

My most expensive single car purchase was this Corgi DMC time machine at £2.00

20220417_180537

I don't really go for later Corgi repop stuff but for 50p I couldn't resist

20220417_18044420220417_180451

These two MK3s did not fare well in the big tub o'cars

20220417_18065720220417_180354

Corgi Range Rover's not too bad

20220417_180726

No name on this Countach

20220417_180602

Or this Alpine, but I believe it to be a High Speed

20220417_180315

Matchbox helicopter isn't one I'd seen before

20220417_180211

There are a load of commercial vehicles from Matchbox/Corgi and Majorette, CBA photograhing them as they don't especially interest me. They're in the overall pic I posted earlier though

Now that I have a Jag, I need a model of it.  Fortunately there are two in the Bond partwork collection, one badged as a Daimler.  Those of us who like to browse, would you keep your eyes peeled for a cheapie I can paint green please?  They both come in black, which is unfortunate.  Daimler or Jaguar, I don't mind.
