Early red wheel version?

Not so early because this website says later red wheels had gloss black  paint.

http://www.batmobile.free.fr/English/Intro_267.htm

I wish I had found that website before I could have dated the car. However, the car is now packed away. It, along with all the other die-casts I have, are not easily accessible as we (the wife and I) have other things that need quick access too. The car box is buried for a while.

Oh, nice haul!

I think the Citroen was supplied in a short-lived Two Pack in the late 70s, paired with the motorbike trailer - unusually, it also came with a clip-on roofrack.

Probably the least common version of the SM, and that looks in really good nick.

I'll hit up my old Matchbox catalogues later and see if I can find a pic.

The Impy Chrysler and Husky Man from U.N.C.L.E. car are just lovely.

The days of decent market tat are truly not over, anyway!

Jaguar Mk2 by Maisto. A bit more modern then my normal collection. I really cannot remember why I purchased it. I do like these in real life but I have never owned one. Some of the opening parts have jabbed. It has never been off the base.

jagMk2Rear.thumb.jpg.c30c7b4621ea948077f6e3c419c4d16c.jpg

I've got one identical, which was a prezzy from my friend in Paphos last time we visited.  I approve of the model in general, and of modelling a sixties Jag, but the oldest I've owned was a 1978 Daimler, effectively an XJ6.

I can remember when I was small, probably 5 or 6, and my dad was hosting a business contact for the evening.  Said business chappie turned up in a dark green mk2 Jag.  Well my dad went out to have a look round it with him, and at some point I must have showed my face past the front door, because my dad suggested I go for a little ride with him and his mate.  I think I panicked and ran back inside the house; at any rate I never got that ride and to this day have never even sat in a mk2.

With thanks to @bunglebus I got a couple of those rather nice LS400s. I've got one on display at work with the Majorettes:

A nice reminder of what I should be using whilst the 1:1 example is on SORN.

Also picked this up in a local Poundland (except it was £1.50). I know I already have at least one and I'm not into collecting variations, but it looked appealing in the Alberto Frog green.

I haven't bought any diecast this year that isn't related to a 1/1 example currently owned.

Saab 93 Cabriolet models are quite hard to find and when I saw a lime green Yatming dealer one for sale in December, even although it was £35, it was my only option.

Slightly annoyingly, a few months later, an example popped up in the correct red to match mine, for a tenner! It's not a great model to be honest, I think it's on par with a late 90s Hongwell with tyres that are too big and quite a basic interior, but it's the only one in 1/43 that's affordable and they are quite hard to find.

Glad to have it though, just need to see if they do a black one!

I do not really like early cars. Say anything before 1920's (with a few exceptions). Having said that  I did have a lot of Matchbox yesteryears and a few Corgi Classics too.

This one is an oddity. This was purchased for me by a relative on a holiday in Europe.

Made by RAMI the range only consisted of cars in the  Automobile Museum Malartre of Rochetaillée sur Saône. At the time the collection was small and limited. Strange that you would make a range of toy cars based upon a limited range too.

I had a few hours between jobs today and visited various supermarkets, toy shops and others known for stocking toy cars. Saw plenty but only found one new:

Happy with that as it's one of the hidden chase cars a bit like a super treasure hunt

Came home to a delivery from @richardmorris

All I can say is, if these really are yours from childhood, you looked after your cars better than I did!

I remember playing with the Volvo. But the others didn’t take my attention by the look of it. I’m 50 in a few weeks and most of these matchbox and corgi / dinky lot are pre 1980. My large scale Burago and polistil cars are still in the loft.

anyone here have the Oxford diecast Invacar yet? I have one -received yesterday. released last week

No but I saw it had been released. I’m still waiting for the Austin Champ and a few others like the AEC quarry truck and cement mixer.

I did buy shitloads of Landrovers and two of these (1 by mistake) as I’d bought a dinky little 3d printed plough. The tractor actually has a little linkage that the plough attaches to so I’m delighted with that. Looks good, especially for such a teeny model.CFE4412D-FAF0-43C9-8779-13FEB45ED5F2.thumb.jpeg.105421d7f1279c79c84141bf3687fa60.jpeg
