bunglebus
In the meantime, I've been messing about with this Matchbox Speed Kings Caper Cart for far too long. Finally got it good enough to lay on a few coats of metallic red and add a bit of detail. 50 shite points available to anyone who can work out where the wheels are from I should really paint that front 'plate too... First boot sale trip of the year today, unfortunately the weather is nothing like yesterday and turnout wasn't amazing. Also everyone's been watching Cash in the Attic and thinks their old toot is worth a fortune. Turned down a plastic Buddy L Camaro that would have cone on a transporter for £3 and three bigger Corgis - Astra, XJS and 190E, all in good shape but £10 for the three. Did pick up various waifs, strays and orphans out of various boxes though. Got to one stall just too late as a buyer was handing over £210 for bags full of Hot Wheels premiums, Red Line Club exclusives and Supers...only had one left worth buying as it was less than retail Did find a few packaged cars elsewhere for £cheap Remspoor, BL Bloke and Datsuncog
bunglebus
Older stuff of note; Corgi Aston has a fault with the roof mechanism but stays up at least Majorette bug and Matchbox bus Marx Camaro still has the card interior/base Tidy Matchbox 911 Earlier Lesney I have a couple of these but either have a broken prop or missing stickers Battle Kings Dinky was too cheap to resist And I think I can fix this poor Zylmex Mustang Remspoor, RayMK, Tenmil Socket and 4 others

andy18s
I happened across a guy who sells a selection of the DeAgostini magazine and vehicles. The current offering are the vans and support vehicles that the various factory rally teams used Along with the obvious Transits and modern Mercedes,I bagged this for £15 delivered from Portugal I also found these 2 buggies in a box of stuff,no idea from where but they're a bit "different " BL Bloke, bunglebus, eddyramrod and 2 others

barrett
Yo whassup gang. Been a while since I've had anything to report on smol shite terms. I had been holding back from buying anything as I was hoping to pick up a few gems at Rétromobile, but I ended up buying nowt (well, a couple of books, but no diecast). There was one guy who normally has trays of 1960s toy tat (one tray is €10, one €20 etc etc) but he hadn't turned up to the much smaller show this year. I spotted a couple of nice bits but they were in a glass cabinet and priced accordingly. Anyway, I've comforted myself on my return with these two: Politoys Export No.544 Izusu 117 coupe, and Marklin BMW 1600GT. Both came from the same seller on ebay and both were relatively cheap. The Marklin in particular usually goes for very strong money and this was the first affordable example I've seen, albeit missing a jewelled headlamp. It's a really nice thing. Good shape and proportions, great details - particularly the wing mirrors - but perhaps not quite up to Italian standards. The doors and bonnet are quite clunky to open and close and they feel like it wouldn't take much 'play' to either dislodge them entirely or at least chip the paint quite badly. Casting lines are pretty bad too but the paint finish is nice. There is also a Marklin BMW 3000 V8 GT which I'd really like to find one day. The Izusu is typical Politoys Export fare. A nice casting but with limited details and only opening doors. The paint on this one isn't the best which is a surprise. I think the slightly awkward lines of the real car are captured very nicely though. These are defintely perfect examples of 'Why did they model that?' GT cars which is sort of the whole point of my little collection. Two very exclusive low-volume cars which most kids in the 1960s/70s would likely never have seen in real life.
