bunglebus
Just back from the toy fair, full report will have to wait as I'm off out doing birthday stuffs this afternoon, but here are a couple of things I saw @andrew ewas strangely fascinated with this lot of Connectables I haven't seen a Roadmaker set since I was a kid, this had all the plastic signs etc for £10 Big ol plastic Merc on a wired remote control As a bonus, my local Martins actually had a load of brand new Hot Wheels in that I hadn't seen before Teaser shot of the toy fair haul Datsuncog, AndyW201, Tenmil Socket and 3 others 5

I didn't even clock it but he's definitely not known for his bargain prices, often has the same stuff at too much money. Funny story though, every time I've been to this fair, andrew e and I have picked up the same really tidy Corgi Pininfarina Alfa rattling around in a tray with other cars, and not bought it as he's wanted too much for it. Caught him selling some tatty bits to someone else for £3 out of the same tray today and asked if everything was that price... bunglebus
I seem to have acquired my own nemesis, bloke that recognised me from a Facebook group, always comes and talks to me but is wherever I go, but gets there before me and hoovers up all the good stuff. He pays for early entry at the toy fair so was leaving as I got there, with another of the fuel flap Matchbox VW campers he'd grabbed for 50p. I don't need another anyway... He's some of what he missed, all from 25p - 50p boxes Saw another of these for £4 elsewhere 25p - obviously incomplete but I couldn't leave it behind 50p: Not seen this colour scheme before Paid a couple of quid for this purely to steal the clear (normally orange) window for my colour trial one! I've been struggling to find custom wheels for Speed Kings size customs, then I spotted a huge box of Scalextric wheels for pennies. Grabbed a couple of sets but I may well buy more if they work as planned This was in a bag of modern Hot Wheels - 1969 Twin Mill MC Toys XJS is quite an unusual one I almost bid on a couple of these plastic trucks on eBay, but I'd rather pay 25p for one. Research required on this one Found two more Lido Gun-of-a-Cars, rather than the Renault I usually see. 911 and 240Z Tomica copy Corvette Paid a pound for this Bachelors Peas Tranny Pressie from Andrew e... ...someone stole the grille Biggest spend was on this, thought I'd treat myself. It is nice opening a brand new toy probably older than me this one I was pushed into buying - so bad it's good Chad Valley E30 cab andrew e, AndyW201, sierraman and 4 others 6

There's plenty of £10 tatty corgis and £3-5 Matchbox as well, picked up a repainted Dinky Big Cat that had blacked out windows too - £26! You just have to rummage through all the tat boxes to find the bargains, no seller is an expert on everything. quicksilver
@Datsuncogwill remember this infamous broken Metrobus rescued from Market Blokey's Big Box of Buses. I cleaned the accumulated filth off for an immediate improvement but since then it's been sitting around while I pondered what to do about the damage. Then at a model show last Saturday I stumbled across a complete top deck assembly for an ABC Models Metrobus on sale for £2. I really didn't ever expect to find such a thing so it was swiftly purchased and I now have a roadworthy bus that owes me less than a fiver. Yes, I've done the opposite of what usually happens in reality and put a roof back on an open-topper, and I need to fill in the hole for the side route number and do something about the livery, but it has a new lease of life now. warch, bunglebus, Dick Longbridge and 12 others
bunglebus
Postie man comes bearing gifts. A little while ago I got sent a link via PM to one of the awful Chinese VOIKOWAGENG VW LTs. Didn't buy it, because I found a Chad Valley one in the box for less! There was a decrepit one at the toy fair with a slightly better but still incorrect spelling of Volkswagen, but I knew this one was en route. Same seller also had this Matchbox Corvette still in the pack And a Yatming Merc SL Tracked down the ambulance version of the Superkings 240, Not in as nice shape as the red one though. egg
Hi folks - this has come out of my parents shed. I think I used to play with it, so at least 30-35 years in there (well, probably a previous shed!). Does anyone want to restore it for cost of postage? Main problem is one track is almost snapped. Strangely it could be the same bus in two different stages of its life as the top deck came from ABC model 000812 of China Motor Bus fleetnumber ML22, which later became a City Sightseeing Sydney open-topper! bunglebus
This came along with the DODGE dragster from the other day - as with the majority of them, the rear suspension was broken. Except it wasn't, it seems the axle can escape from under the plastic suspension part, so it can be clipped back in. Worth checking if you came across this problem, I nearly chucked it in the eBay pile and it's pretty tidy I unboxed the new Layin' Lowrider as I want to mod it a bit - and discovered Rolamatic is alive and well! 20220324_100648.mp4 RayMK, Datsuncog, junkyarddog and 3 others
