Shite in Miniature II

I had a Budgie Leyland Hippo coal lorry, using the same cab and chassis as the horse box - a nicely proportioned wee thing. It was a childhood jumble sale find, although I sold it on a few years ago.

Never even knew about that Bedford TK (?) glass lorry before - very nice.

Great to see there's still stuff to be discovered!

Been meaning to post this little Corgi Mini Mayfair I got the other day for £1. Looking it up it seems to be from a series of Minis they made to celebrate it's 30th anniversary.

Rather than restore it into the Mayfair it once was, I think I might turn it into a little version of a Mini my family had back in the 80s and 90s.

Some interesting bits there -  what are the blue 928, Alpine and purple sports car - is that one a Corgi Cub?

Cheers

928 and Alpine are both Solido

Price wise I reckon £3.50 for the decent ones, and £0.50-£1.50 for the more shit ones. Reasonable?

So:

@Tenmil Socket - £4.50

@sierraman -£4.50

@155V6 - £5

 @bunglebus - £8

OK folks, I now have all of the above here and will post them/pass funds back to DoctorRetro for any sold.

Please let me know if you're still interested, I'd quite like the Quattro but Tenmil Socket was faster on the draw. I'll keep the Solido 928 and Renault Alpine plus the Corgi Cubs sports car, all the others are up for grabs.

Happy to take additional pics of any of them if required

I tend not to throw much away, partly due to hoarding tenancies but mostly because I like to have spares for restos and customs. Mind you I have chucked some fairly complete stuff in the bin lately as I'll never use parts off them. Always makes me feel guilty though

Looks like a top buy, that Transit.

I'm guessing that a few decades on a shelf by a window has helped with the overall condition, even if it's left the paint faded.

Would something like T-Cut or any other sort of mild abrasive cleaner be any good at reviving the original colour?
