Not sure who makes these - but these 'Opel Car Collection' 1/43 models of the Senator and Monza each come in an absurdly oversized box with a GM part code on them.

The wiper's fallen off the Senator, but I've cunningly blu-tac'd it to the back of the box cos I'm out of superglue.

You can experience the joy of reattaching it for a mere £6, or both of them for £10.

Can I have both if still available please?

I'm trying to be good and not put my hand up for any of the wonderful stuff DC is offering today. CSW has just saved me from 'having' to buy those lovely Opels, phew!

Did purchase a few things yesterday on a quick trip into town:

IMG_8457.thumb.JPG.f9d4684d2552e566b642ad97e769fd30.JPG

Majorette 300ZX was 50p from a charity shop. I have a red one already.

HW Prelude was from a pound shop (but was £1.50) and the rest were from Tesco. They'd had a couple of new cases of Matchbox in too, but there was nothing in there that was of overwhelming appeal.

I had a feeling the Prelude and R390 might have been duplicates, but happily not.

Got back into doing 1:24 stuff today:

Polished the brush-painted Humbrol enamelI applied over 35 years ago, should be dry enough by now. It's far from perfect, but the roof came up well and it's only meant to be a refresh of what I did all those years ago, not a new, squeaky clean build. Also brush-painted the hood scoop and attached it to the bonnet.

Lots of foil brightwork to do now.....

Probably the Gama branded Corsa? I've got the 3 door GSi version in dealer packaging.

Aye maybe it was Gama now that I think about it. I definitely had a Schuco Vauxhall of a similar era, they did a Vectra too, or was that Gama?

**EDIT - SALE AGREED!!**

Right, we're beginning to approach the end of the boxed 1/43 stuff, I promise.

Mahoosive Matchbox Models of Yesteryear Ahrens-Fox Quad fire engine.

IMG_20220113_143828.thumb.jpg.9802960e353f498e73726f7366e86ae7.jpg

This is a substantial and hefty piece of kit; truly the king of the MoY range.

IMG_20220113_143800.thumb.jpg.018658d88991ae2af86ea494f003a114.jpg

I coveted this model for decades but, as seems to happen quite often with me, once I finally obtained it my interest just... dwindled.

So it's back on here for £10.

I seem to recall some interest from

@flat4alfa on this last year?

That looks absolutely amazing.

IIRC, Schuco took over Gama. I've got two Calibras, both the same casting but the earlier pre facelift version is Gama and the later V-grille version is Schuco.

Schuco definitely did the Vectra B and C. I've got the B hatchback,

Sho' thing - will set that one aside for you. Thought that might tickle you!

Still have a very nice Matchbox ice cream van in the box with your name on it, if you're still interested?

IMG_20220113_165751.thumb.jpg.ae8b68168f47be1db9769e2e27b79857.jpg

Things got a bit much last summer, and I kinda lost track of where everything was...

Haha, yes I still can't resist these and I just happened to look in on this topic after a long break.

Yes please to the ice cream van as well, thanks for holding on to it for me. If you could message me with price including post I'd be happy to have them now unless you have any other seasidetype stuff (caravans, boats etc) or Volvo c30 and Citroen C4 VTSs in which case I may want that as well.

One for 'weird corner' - a model of the 1828 Gurney Steam Coach, made by Brumm.

IMG_20220113_143218.thumb.jpg.f1c9d37c7b7e988d0a1c85b87eb9cc24.jpg

Unquestionably the oldest vehicle modelled in my collection.

Diecast chassis and wheels with a plastic body, it's odd but I kinda like it anyway.

£4?

If any more models come up that I'd like, this one would be an amusing addition to give to a steam car obsessed friend, but if anyone else goes for it I'm now waiting to see what other 1:43 things I've missed while not looking!

**EDIT - ALL SOLD!!**

And the last couple for this grouping: some more 1/43 odds and sods.

IMG_20220113_144648.thumb.jpg.3908955965c7e65cdb70718ffe770028.jpg

Dodge Viper/ wheel donor; sealed, 50p.

Fiat 132, opened and missing a wiper - £2.

IMG_20220113_144700.thumb.jpg.c37d23aa4485f4623f4ccaf6379e1067.jpg

Oldsmobile Toronado in AS Racing Beige (comes in an opened blister, removed cos it was making the pic weird) - £4.

IMG_20220113_144607.thumb.jpg.87c84bfc54a6850846d83ede0fe576af.jpg

Cararama Ford Crown Vic CHiPS cruiser - also opened - £4.

Right! My finger's feeling oddly flat from poking at the screen and I'm sure some of you are wanting to get ready for bed, so - plenty more to come tomorrow in the listings, I can assure you!

I think we might all benefit from a bit of a rest, so I'll ring down the curtain for tonight, update my sales spreadsheet, and try not to dream of Corgis and Cararararama...

Cheers, kids!

Possibly a stupid question, but how fiddly is the foil chrome to apply? Got a '58 Impala kit here and I want to make the best job I can of it ( when/if I ever get round to it..)

Yep, they did a saloon version of the B usually in Rio Verde, that nice metallic green most Vectras seemed to come in.

That's the one! My Granda's real Vectra was black, and a 1.8 LS, so I just used my imagination a wee bit. :D

And still more of these Eastern partwork models:

IMG_20220113_124550.thumb.jpg.2bf0068af93dba72e705f55f2f80befa.jpg

Dacia 1309 (effectively a Renault 12 crew cab); Daewoo Cielo (Nexia), Moskvitch 412 and an off-road oddity in the form of a LUAZ 969M.

Dacia and Daewoo previously opened, the others still sealed.

**EDIT - CIELO TAKEN!!**

Again, £2 each - all four for £7.

Damn, I was up for the Daewoo.

It certainly requires patience, and some American users are saying the current stuff is more difficult than before.

Rather than buy a sheet to experiment with, if you like I can send you a small piece and you can see how you get on with it? if it doesn't go well then it just peels off.

Cheers for all the sales action last night, folks - I've had a few more PMs come in overnight with some other requests, so I'll update the various posts accordingly this morning and then whack up a quick recap of what's still remaining, so everyone knows where we are.

Plenty more stuff to list once that's done - mostly the unboxed toys and models, including Matchbox and Corgi, plus more railway scale stuff, Scalextric cars and other delights...
