Is Denis's Zephyr available?  It does have some pubic hairs on its wheel

Only got a Lone-Star one, see

Very likely a fantasy, but to be fair it's got the looks of something French, Indo-China region.  After a tot of Absinthe.

Logo is used by Sun Star ; Sunnyside ; Superior.  Depending on the market and the proximity of the moon

It's by Sunnyside IIRC and is a larger-scale copy of a model from everyone's favourite* range, Lledo Days Gone. Not French at all but a pretty faithful rendition of an AEC Renown, an actual early 1930s London bus. I had a green one with the vague destination 'Berkshire' and equally odd adverts.

The same company did a reasonable Duple Vega-bodied Bedford SB in a similar scale and both were typically found in trays of a dozen or so in seaside tat shops and other high-quality establishments.

And so it is!  It's that gawky snout that threw me.  I need more absinthe.

Also another trigger finger episode of Matchboxes also arrived

Chevy Van  ‘Vanpire’ was what I was after

The IMSA Mustang and Dinky/Kidco Chevy Stepside seemed nice enough condition to make up the postage weight

Never had any of them before. All seemed a good idea at the time for the couple of quid each

Lledo 'Days Gone' HP Sauce van. Not sure on the make/model. The front wheels sit too low and far forward. Possibly crush damage. I might have a go at drilling out the base and see what I can do repair wise.

Next, a wind-up Smart City Coupe by Maisto. Purchased from Asda around '99/'00. 1:33 scale, so doesn't look right with anything.

Well no more.  The tramping, inset rear axle no longer makes me twitch...

So after some adaptions to the chassis and a few fiddles about to fit, taking all evening; it now looks like this

And does this

Will see about fitting a driver and seat tops later.  Perhaps a nob of glue on the door might be wise so driver doesn't go flying

Have a 1/33 Smart here too.

Did that sort of thing to it ^

That way it does look right with something 😀

Well I'm home. Lots of boxes were rummaged through and tiny tat was acquired. The Polistil SD1 wasn't on the table, but the seller had it in his car - and also this Dinky Princess, which he wanted £5 for. Being as he wanted £20 for the Rover last time, £15 the pair is good in my books!

Tiny tat, lots of it - no Matchbox Rover SD1, sorry @eddyramrod.

I paid 25p for this just because I thought someone might get a laugh from it. MK3 "Tpansit" in Everton livery

There was a guy with a whole case full of beautiful Lone Stars, but at £15 each they were out of reach. This one was found elsewhere for £1. Do not paint?

The seller with the Lone Stars also had a case full of Sikus at a more reasonable £3 each, @andrew eand I nearly came to blows scrambling for them - I got these but I reckon he bought the best of the lot...

I was on the lookout for an orange glass Pi-Eyed Piper as a donor, I have a really nice spare one that's too good to take apart, but I found this

20211107_124937.thumb.jpg.99aff005ae4e72a414a78a9a5497468e.jpg

Which is still too good, so I kept looking and dug up this

20211107_124917.thumb.jpg.a11d88bc0abd54111a9552c1ae898b43.jpg

More like it. Still alright under the grime though.

20211107_124959.thumb.jpg.5a18bb1451da2e5ace2fba1933bfdd63.jpg

Now that's more like it! How the grille/exhaust part has gone missing without breaking the rivet I don't know, but I won't loose any sleep over using it for spares. One more find to show you...

Has anyone ever seen these late 80s Matchbox Colani cars before?

I think I wittered on about them a few years back - Luigi Colani had just died and I was moved to put together a mini-profile of this unusual little range in the Matchbox line-up.

Will see if I can find it later... but no, I don't recall seeing them in real-life. Good going!

Quite a pleasant diversion with @bunglebus earlier, he was right about the grumpy Tat hoarders, a Wetherspoon must have been wondering where there clientele/smell was this morning 😉

Bow if it wasn’t for this rather unusual coloured Range Rover I spotted we’d have missed the lot! It really is crisp and weighty.

Went to Brands Hatch for the last BTCC event of the year a fortnight ago, and whilst mooching around the various stalls and shizz I found what was labelled as a "British Touring Car Champions" A40 model (made by Atlas).

Seeing as Fatha_Outlaw had one when I was smoll, I purchased it for £25. I've just taken the cellophane wrapper off as it was a bit tatty, and taken a peek.

It's a feckin' SD1 Vitesse.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/384446541715?hash=item5982ccaf93:g:RM0AAOSw~JBfHaBV (Not my advert)

Image 1 - 1/43 ROVER VITESSE 3.5 SD1 BTCC BRITISH TOURING CAR CHAMPIONSHIP 1984 ANDY ROUSEAnybody want it? @Motown @Bren? Any other Rover fanz?

Not looking to make a profit, just would like my money back, or as close to as possible. Postage will be about £3.50. PM me PLZ
