RoadworkUK
Again, fresh from import from Norn Iron courtesy of @Datsuncog, I had reason to take an Eastern European car for a trip into the woods. These DeAgostini partwork-type models really are spectacular for the outlay. andrew e, AndyW201, Amishtat and 8 others

Thanks There was one that ended this evening, a Cherokee that was loose, worn chrome and decals, chipped wheels. So I put a fiver on it... but it ran to ....£21 ! It's not even guaranteed to be working! A trick has been missed. The 'wrong' - I'm doing it. Datsuncog

Amishtat
I don't remember whether you've seen these before. A fruitless search for some clamps yesterday caused me to root out my old toolbox, disturbing these along with all the badges off my first PC Cresta and some documents from my Toledo, all unseen or thought about since 1998. Predating that would be the cack-handed "detailing" on the Golf and R25. Datsuncog, bunglebus, AndyW201 and 1 other

Split_Pin
I found a long dead Leyland FG husk behind an industrial estate yesterday. My son goes to an indoor skatepark there and I said to my wife I was just nipping out to get our flask of soup from the car. I couldn't resist a nose round the back where there appeared to be some kind of scrap yard and it was there I found the old truck. So today I gave in and purchased one of those 1:43 Scale Sava-BMC FGs from ebay. It was really cheap at £15 posted and I get it tomorrow. Unless they're Superkings or old Corgis, I normally don't like trucks between scales of 1/76 ish or 1/24. The former gives a nice evocation of the vehicle and nothing more, the latter gives every possible detail. In between therefore always seems kind of lost between these two states. However the FG is my all time favourite truck so I'll make an exception.. They were very popular in Scotland and of course they were made there from 1961 and exclusively so from 1963 and up until the early 1980s. I couldn't find out online how the Sava ones came to Spain, I'm thinking it would be CKD. I already have 2 1/76 scale models, a lovely resin item from Hong Kong Model co and another Base Toys one (as they were named then). I'm quite excited about this one, moreover as I have barely bought any diecast this year. I can't think of any others apart from 2 Cavaliers, a Sierra and a few Hotwheels. bunglebus, RoadworkUK, Datsuncog and 2 others

AndyW201
Not long ago, I nabbed this Minichamps Astra H, complete with fancy dealer promotional packaging for £not a lot. As a Vauxhall apologist, I was happy with this as its a cracking model and it filled a modern-Astra gap in the collection. But I still wanted a model of the GTC (the fancy 3 door coupé/hatch), trouble is in 1/43, you're restricted to Minichamps really, and the majority that come up are the dealer edition OPC (Opel) or VXR (Vauxhall) branded items in the sought after Arden blue, which go for £££££££. But today, something arrived. "Who's down with OPC?" "Yeah, you know me!" A LHD, Opel OPC badged version, rather than the UK VXR one I'd have liked, but beggars can't be choosers. And as can be seen above, the cardboard outer sleeve is absolutely mullered. But for about 1/5 of the price the dealer edition ones go for, and in the rare Star Silver, I'm happy. Luckily, the car is absolutely mint, (it seems it's been on display in the acrylic case for some years, with the outer sleeve kept in a damp attic or something. Don't even think the tea towel/iron treatment would save it). One of the best looking cars of recent years I reckon, the GTC and it's captured well here. Good detail on the front end, particularly the headlights and grilles. Ditto the rear end. Just like on it's bigger brother, the Minichamps Vectra C OPC that I also have, the alloy wheels are fantastic, along with vented discs and blue calipers. As usual with Minichamps the interior detail is lovely, with the usual sat nav screen they normally do on top of the range cars. The seats are the usual sporty Vauxhall 'Darth Vader' type and look great but I couldn't get a pic through the narrow windows... bicycle repairman, RoadworkUK, Datsuncog and 7 others
