Moving on to the larger-scale stuff, I believe @eddyramrod had been smitten with the MoY Lincoln Zephyr last week...

The glazing seems to have gone missing, but otherwise this should scrub up ok. Also £2!

Plus, this one had also been called for by Eddy just a little bit late, way back in December - I'd already headed on when I saw the request, and then I didn't see it on the stall again.

That's what it says.

Not super-detailed, but not a bad 1/43-ish rendering of the big Y33 Cedric.

The best bit: this was £5 last year, but only £2 today. Will throw these two in with your other treasures, if you still fancy them?

Yes and yes, please :)

Every now and then I stumble across these on ebay and can never quite fathom what the thinking was behind them making them. Surely the collectors market for highly detailed small Korean hatchback models has never been thriving enough for it to have ever made sense, but what do I know? Something I'm glad exists, but not something I could ever believe anyone has forked out £46 for.

The Bosch liveried bus is a Duple Metsec bodied Dennis Dragon by Collector's Model (C'SM). I had this in 2000 but sold it in about 2013 as I have another in a different livery. Very nice model with opening engine lid, air conditioning  fans visible through the grille, possible wheels and check out the seats- really nicely modelled.

For anyone interested in 1/76 Chinese model buses, this is the definitive website:

https://www.orientalmodelbuses.co.uk/modelindex.htm

Still wonderfully Geocities-esque, circa 1999!

I believe @tom13 had expressed an interest in this MBE model of a Duple Metsec bodied Dennis Dragon, complete with an ad for what appears to be 'Flower Paint'?

If you still fancy it, it's yours for £2 +post fella - if not, it's for anyone who wants it.

There had also been a general expression of interest from @Noel Tidybeard in the Bosch and Bridgestone no-name buses:

Yours if you fancy them; £2 a throw, and they seem relatively unscathed despite being flung around in boxes.

if the flower paint goes unclaimed i'll rehome it!

he left hand bridgestone (route 6C) and bosch very yes please 😁

Here's an oddball to model.  It's Matchbox K-112 DAF Ambulance from 1977.

IMG_E4036.thumb.JPG.aca12ec3cca9ac6240c6441915644a77.JPG

I think it only ever appeared as a military-livery ambulance as part of the Battle Kings series.

IMG_E4035.thumb.JPG.8c0f8b6f864268e3cafc5e36e5a4c36a.JPG

I was given this as a gift, Christmas 1980 I think.

IMG_E4037.thumb.JPG.1d01d5c6726c7ee070a2bf999782814b.JPG

The 1953-59 DAF YA-126 was designed and built in the Netherlands for the Dutch Royal Army.  It utilised a torsion bar independent suspension, 4x4 H-drive layout with each wheel having its own differential.  The side mounted spare wheels rolled freely, allowing them to serve as 'helper' wheels over rough ground.  The engine was a 4.6 petrol, suppled built from Hercules in the US.

IMG_E4039.thumb.JPG.7887c0c9180e690a2bb60010d5336d5a.JPG

It was available in three basic guises - as a weapons carrier with canvas canopy and room for up to 8 soldiers; as a radio vehicle with hardtop; and as an ambulance, with longer platform and hard rather than soft top.  3,496 examples built.

147_daf-ya126-1.jpg.60bbf72adffd51fb807e2520e918b1f0.jpg

Odd that Matchbox reproduced the canvas weapons carrier version, yet released it solely as an ambulance.

That worked out well, the other Bridgestone is the one I want so very yes please to that. I can't remember who made those Dennis Dragons but I do recall there being a kit version that I had and built in my own fleet colours.

How much of a bitch are EFEs to dismantle? I fancied a Leyland National to build a replica of the Andrews buses you used to see in Sheffield in the 90’s?

Some can be difficult but Nationals are fairly easy. Put it upsidedown in a vice, knock the pins out with a hammer and nail and the roof should come off, then the glazing and interior will pull out.

Any Hot Wheels addicts in the house looking for these limited edition anniversary jobs?

(Not wanting to look too overtly in @bunglebus' direction...)

£3 a throw for the HW, £2.20 for the Siku Humvees.

Happy to pick 'em up if anyone wants them - just not sure how long Mrs DC will be looking at the clothes for, so if they take your fancy, don't delay...

Oh, and there's some more Siku...

Still fairly pricey, though the trailer might be worth the price of admission to some?

Impressive scale variance happening here too - if that snowmobile's 1/55, I'll eat my toboggan...

Majorette on the pegs as well:

More of those weird lacquered zamac sets from last year still kicking about.

Collectors-themed sets...

'Dubai Ambulance Super Cars', also by Majorette.

Well, okay.

Bburago 1/43 seem a lot dearer these days...

Once available at 99p a throw for single models, it's now £12.99 for this five-pack - but then they're also better painted, and less plastered with stickers now.

I think Bburago is now a sub-brand of Maisto's parent company, too.

Also, we have a Renault Master flatbed hauling a Fiat 500...

977879833_IMG_20210515_1739452.thumb.jpg.630d3171187cd04af3aed6f76def70b8.jpg

I do believe someone here wanted one of these last year, but I can't now recall who. It looks really good though; I may have to bring it home for a closer look...

These quite detailed no-name 1/43s were also down in the clearance section:

361681391_IMG_20210515_1740152.thumb.jpg.0946854864fd45072741ac14d262430a.jpg

A bit too supercar for my liking, but the Audi looks pretty detailed. Eight quid, though...

Maisto construction site with a heavy Volvo flavour. Scale discrepancies aside, looks like quite good fun.

19345364_IMG_20210515_1741522.thumb.jpg.3d2f0ef1a70da826876d9d0f6fdf8d1a.jpg

Lastly, what looks like generic nasty kiddy-toys...

1847780712_IMG_20210515_1741592.thumb.jpg.827471894789541db2074582d6644abd.jpg

Actually a VW T4 and Merc E-class. But you'd have to be a pretty dedicated/ indiscriminate collector to stump up six quid for this pound-shop grade tat.

EDIT: I'm long gone from TK Maxx now! But may be back on subsequent days, so requests are open...

MSZ aren't unbranded.  They are not cheap rubbish, the quality is pretty good.  This is what awaits underneath the 1:32 examples I have here

Thank you, but I got most of them out of my local one, and another member was kind enough to track down the missing two for me.

Also I was on radio silence yesterday as I was driving back from Scotland.

A big pile of parcels needs opening today

Yay, the buses are back! I'll happily take the GZK and the LHD Bridgestone double-decker is also a Checkmate, in which case I believe I called first dibs on it before Noel.

Yup, can do! The exact chronology of who was after what can tend to get a bit lost in the fug of request posts that follows the market... sorry about that!

But that's cool, I think everyone's content with their finds now.

Both of the Collectors' Model Dennis Dragons now set aside for you!

The pink Flower Paint Dragon by MBE has now been successfully rehomed - but who knows what else will show up next week?

There's where the fun lies...
