Split_Pin
I've not had a dream like that for years but I used to have ones where I was at a Swapmeet and there were lots of cars I wanted but I woke up before buying anything. I've got 2 of the 1.18 XMs. The first one I bought had a big crack on the side windows which appeared to have been attempted to be repaired, crudely but it's still a nice model. The second 1.18 is much better with few, if any blemishes. Never noticed the D and G markings on the box. I also have the 605 but no box. Its stored at Ma_Sterling's so gonna have to dig it out at some point. I've seen the plastic AX at a dealer once but it was only a display model, not for sale. I'd love to find one. Not seen the Plastic BX before so that's interesting. RoadworkUK, Datsuncog and Split_Pin 2

Spottedlaurel
Presumably the same Aurora who made plastic kits? This came in a mixed lot some years ago, I sold it on again. I believe some of their cars ended up with Monogram. The Maserati 3500 GT I finished last summer was one of their own mouldings, was a pretty decent kit for something dating back to the '60s. flat4alfa
A funny-face Multipla has arrived at this chez. To add to the cars-previously-owned-in-43scale shelf Courtesy of @matt79 - cheers Matt 😊 1:43 and being by Solido, it has a plinth and its plastic cover. Bit on the cheap side looking at the front, but it's about right dimension and detail wise. Painting the bumpers body colour might* make all the difference. Correct door mirrors too. Nice to see the authentic* wheelbearing wear giving negative camber at rear hubs. The 'heart' rear lamp cluster nicely done. But, the best bit of all - if anyone has ever had one of these - is the reproduction of the good old Multipla dash that made use all smile, and gave us sticky oily fingers. Screwed-home base, so it could be easily repainted BLUE like our old family dependable, especially as the the interior is the correct colour scheme. Or just screw a slot car chassis home, for added merriment. RIP, good Old Dependable workhorse Fiat: That is all. warch, Amishtat, eddyramrod and 6 others

Look what the nice Young Post Man delivered on Tat Wed today. Believe it or not, he was in shorts too... cor. Cheers @Datsuncog ! After the Powertrack range was discontinued in 1982, the moulded bodies were paired with diecast bases to make a range of non-powered toy cars, with their gimmick being that the bodies would glow in the dark. Took a look at these after they arrived in the post. Universal Era was a bit late for me as I was into other things by then, so knew nothing of them. What I did know was I already had a Matchbox Powertrack BMW - but not a TR7. Always wanted the TR7. The idea being I could put them to use on the slot track by changing the bases for motored ones. During unwrapping, was a bit confused for moment; but then realised the Porsche 928 might have been added in as a gift! That's nice. Word got around to the Matchbox Powertrack Massive, so they dashed over to greet them into the fold Test #1: Do they glow? Yay! Test #2: Do they come apart ? Yay! Test #3: Let's swap over some bodies with the Powertrack cars, after all they are the same, reused body tooling, right? Nay! Now that was a surprise... there are no common mounting points! What were they thinking? Ah well, no problem, could be adapted after all it's only plastic. But first, will see if TCR, Aurora or MicroScalextric chassis are a better fit tomorrow. The latter would be a better effort anyhow In the meantime, I put them on the wife's bedside table, to see if they bug the hell out of her during the night, glowing away... I'll probably be in for it. Amishtat, Datsuncog, Burnside and 1 other 3

flat4alfa
Front and back page of the Powertrack 'Race & Chase' set manual Anyone have one of these sets? Had to wait thirty years for one, back then I was pawing over the brochure and amazed by the TV advert. Picked up complete set with extra cars ten years back. Got it working, then snuck it in loft(s) until this week. Burnside and Datsuncog

Differences to the mounting points between the Powertrack and Glo Racer shells came as a shock here too - I assumed they'd be one and the same. Yup, the 928 appeared for cheap at one of the general tat stalls over the summer; not in great nick, but thought it best to keep 'em all together... cheers for the comparative write-up and pics! flat4alfa
Anyone into current Bburago 1/32 series of modern diecasts? This one came in 'kit' form, which just meant 'not assembled' as it's pre-painted (and nicely too) The other day I converted this Jaguar XF to be a slot car. Diecast body, so is a bit hefty and won't win too many races off the line. But that wasn't the point. Motor is tucked inside between the hacked about seats, which took a while to get right while keeping centre console and most of the seats intact and tidy. Then blacked it out to match. Ought to fit a driver, but might just re-do the interior in tan, to complement the exterior colour. Or just leave it and get back to repairing the kitchen. Good thing about these Bburagos is the bases are screwed home and the tyres are quite rubberish so no need to change the wheels, just drill them out a bit to fit the axles. Couple of adjustments to make, but it'll do for now Why? You ask. Because ....no else has made one andrew e, eddyramrod, RoadworkUK and 10 others
flat4alfa
Was naughty the other week and did a buy. Corgi Opel Senator has been on the wish list for a while so nabbed this for a fiver. Needs a touch from the chrome pen on bumper corners, but otherwise tidy enough. And it's in a proper blue from the era too, just what I wanted. Thought that the marks on the door rubbing strip was chipping, but seems it was grey paint detailing, mostly rubbed away. Doris loves it, even if the rear suspension is a bit saggy. Not unlike Doris, then. bunglebus, Amishtat, eddyramrod and 11 others 13
