Picked another cheap 1.18 car. A Peugeot 207 by Norev.

The detail in it is quite nice. Not exactly immense but perfectly acceptable. Its the same colour as my own 407 which I guess is some sort of weird bonus on its own way.

I picked this up cheap as it has a missing wing mirror (I glued one back on) half an aerial which doesn't look out of place on a modern car and missing tail light cover. Not easy to find but to make one shouldn't be a massive task, just need to find red-tinted plastic cover sheeting, cut tail light and glue on.

Week off work, finally getting round to some model building. Looking to finish this Cedric off by the end of the month, as I've had no completions yet in October.

Quite a bit of work went into this front end, realised I'd missed some chromework when I looked at this photo (like it needs some more).

Quick trial-fit:

Just this lot to put together now:

After a quick Countdown break, back to the shed I go.....

Looking at getting an orange Focus ST for bro for Christmas; Minichamps 1:43's are changing hands at £50 upwards, but theres a Burago and a Welly on ebay, both £25, Burago is 1:43 Welly is 1:34. I know nothing about Welly models, are they any good? Yhe Burago one appears to have generic RIMZ on which is a bit shit...

Must say that £25 for either of those seems a bit on the OUCH side.... (Edit: looking at the Welly vendor's other listings he looks to be a proper chancer)

Deffo the Welly for the win, though. I've been pleasantly surprised by Welly stuff; they cover some amusingly obscure subjects – the Mustang SVO among things. And 1:34 is a far more impressive (if a bit odd) scale than 1:43

Might be worth a risk getting one from Poland for half the price? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WELLY-FORD-FOCUS-ST-ORANGE-1-34-DIE-CAST-METAL-MODEL-NEW-IN-BOX/174278735631?hash=item2893d2770f:g:jWYAAOSwJzpcZFbb
