Noel Tidybeard
it was £25 + £4.95p&p so not too horrendous as for why 1:43 it was released in 1971 so 1:36 was still a few years away i had one years ago and popped it apart for repaint etc so wanted another want a tinacorner gxl as well

I'll see if I can get him to consider selling any of them separately... the boats and trailers really are as-new. I'd say he's more likely to make money selling them individually at £3 each, than holding out to shift all 11 items for £30. He's never insisted on job lots before, so dunno if he's trying something new, or worried he'll forget if they're loose on the stall and only charge 50p each or summat... bunglebus
Having die cast disasters this week, put the glazing from the Corgi DeTomaso Mangusta in DoT 3 to get the black paint off - while it was in the jar it looked perfect, clear and all the black had floated off - as soon as it took it out it went opaque. Then I found a perfect colour match for the wing on the orange Flying Beetle - and it ran out after two squirts (!) Some good news though, had this Road Masters funny car arrive with working pull cord And having made a replica of the big wheel arch/slim wheel fastback, I found one But there is a problem Datsuncog, AndyW201 and Burnside 2

Checked mine out. I think it is issue with the factory paint. It doesn't wear or age well. It also has groups of small bubbles on a bonnet and a door. Still a nice model though. RoadworkUK
Prelude casting is lovely, and the upgraded wheels really make it.... and overcome the hurdle that has suddenly stopped me buying Hot Wheels 1/64s cold turkey. It's the wheels. They're just too big, and too noticeably so. I mean, I know that post-thin wheel Superfast Matchbox are pretty generous, rim-wise, and perhaps it's me being a snob and stupidly holding onto a "I want models, not toys" mindset, when | should really should grow up and accept them as the collectible toys they really are, but I just wish they were smaller. flat4alfa
bunglebus
I know what you mean, it doesn't bother me on the new cars but when I'm doing wheel swaps I often struggle to find something that suits, they often need more sidewall. MarvinsMom
my landcrab is a spot-on, i would love to add a dinky landcrab taxi to it just to compare. its a shite picture, as it is sat in the bottom of a cabinet. it is, in common with all the spot-ons i've come across, a really lovely model. the driver, the number plates, the jewelled headlamps.... so many neat touches, no wonder they are expensive now. i'll bet they weren't cheap when new! in other news, the daimler parts that i ordered some 2 months ago, have actually arrived!! i have therefore been able to finally finish the SP250. i'm really pleased with how this one has come out! the wind screen, and the steering wheel really do finish it of a treat. 155V6, bunglebus, Datsuncog and 9 others

Something I spend quite a bit of time on when I'm putting together my 1:24/25 projects. My JDM Toyota Picnic is now virtually done, and is a case in point. It's an Aoshima kit with Tamiya RX7 wheels and Fujimi tyres which came from a Honda Prelude. I can spend ages rummaging through boxes and trying out different combinations. Jon
Now, we all like a bit of miniature shite sleuthing, so I thought I'd share this post I found: There aren't many comments but one poster identified it as from a Matchbox Kenworth, as such: Now clearly, that's not the case and neither is this other Matchbox bonneted Kenworth: I also think the dimensions of 5cm wide are just a little too much for an MB 1-75 casting but then they might not be wholly accurate. Anyway, I just muck about on Twitter every now and then looking at things that interest me but don't have an account. So if anyone can rightfully work this one out, I reckon they'd like to know the real answer! EDIT! I'm not that great at identifying the differences between different US truck manufacturers, despite them regularly plying the roads of NZ. So it might be a Peterbilt, or something else entirely.
