Instead of the trailer I’ll have the Hatra shovel, I’ve got one already but sans tyres. Daaah, I'm keeping the Hatra too! Never owned any of these King Size before bar the Dodge Horse Trailer, so I'm really enjoying discovering them for the first time. I may not keep them forever, but I'm currently re-jigging my display space with new glass shelving and these will have a place in it. But if you're looking tyres, I'm planning a bulk purchase on various Lesney King Size tyres imminently - can set five of the Hatra-sized tyres aside for you, and send them over in the next parcel? bunglebus

andrew e
The one my daughter bought, she split the kit 2 ways with a mate, a few months ago it was £28.88 (I know - whilst searching for it transpires I bloody paid for it ? I will never see that again!!!) but seems it’s a lot more now? Maybe her mates bought them all. Hardly any heat comes off it though compared to halogen. She tried a desk mount one but apparently this is better for lack of shadows as it’s overhead. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Photography-50x70cm-Softbox-Continuous-Lighting/dp/B015PTXSB8?th=1&psc=1 Datsuncog

bunglebus
Best boy makes the tea. I found another one of these Treasure Hunts, so I made a few changes. I quite like the paint, reminds me of a 60s custom - but coloured tyres are a no no in my book. Also blacked behind the grille and added some detailing to the lights, fuel tank, exhausts and scoop. In two minds whether it needs chrome grille and black running boards or just leave it as is andrew e, morrisoxide, Split_Pin and 3 others

Jon
Well, with work being so slow, hope you don't mind if I take a quick holiday. I borrowed a mate's car for the journey, as I'd like to visit the US again but in slightly more hospitable times. I'll need to look for a runabout when I get there, too. Found one! A nice bit of American tin, or so I thought. Turns out this was made in Hong Kong! Ah well, let's hit the road. Just as I was beginning to famish, I chanced upon some roadside signs for a nearby food merchant. Country sausage biscuits, can't wait! Hopefully they do a vegan option. Turns out I was in luck - the incredibly progressive shop also did nuts, as well, so I stocked up. Also nipped across the road to buy some VW and Ford parts, for taking back to 2020, to fund this journey. Tiring, I arrived at my hotel, for a good night's rest. Hang on a cotton picking.... Oh. Undeterred, I went off and invented Trip Advisor, so I could leave a scathing review. And despite everyone's inability to access it, it still proved more popular than my spotting thread. TBC..... bunglebus
As you might have worked out, I'm doing a couple of Matchbox VW 1600 fastbacks at the moment. Both had a bit of tarnishing on the bases and I find a soak in vinegar helps before a bit of Dremel wire wheel action. The standard wheel version came out great, the Superfast has been eaten. I have three other bases but all have snapped spotlights

bunglebus
I've wanted to restore one of these VW Fastbacks for a while, so to that end this one keeps its casting lines and I haven't added any extra detail. The body is actually an early Superfast. Got a 2nd one on the go with the enlarged wheel arches, I'd like to do a custom one but the other 3 I have all have the usual broken pillars Amishtat, warch, andrew e and 13 others

If I do a custom I'll use one missing the spotlights and smooth the bumpers out, but I now I need a good Superfast base and a good body. I have one missing a pillar and two that have actually fallen in half 20191101_210125 by RS, on Flickr Middle one was the base donor for the resto. Thinking about it I don't have three more, I have about six - three good ones and three knackered ones, plus the two I'm doing now. Guess I like this casting too... junkyarddog
Did this Dinky CF as a commission for the guy down the Market that sells diecast on a Saturday morning. It was almost paintless and had evidence of being repainted silver. It was originally an AA van,and he wanted it yellow again, but seeing as I didn't have any yellow he said he'd leave it up to me to decide. This is the result, an Irish Garda van,or police if you prefer,Blue paint from our equivalent of Poundland, and a couple of coats of their clear Lacquer too! Made the stickers by cutting up an old phone book, covering the paper with clear sticky tape, and using double sided tape on the rear. I'm quite chuffed with this one, I really don't want to give it back!! andrew e, 155V6, eddyramrod and 17 others
