155V6
Jealous of what everyone has found at car boots. My local one was on for the 2nd time since lockdown today,& there were at least twice as many stalls as last week. Hardly any diecast, apart from the usual Chinese rubbish that I would throw away. All we bought were 3 bushes for the garden ?

sierraman
Managed to pick up some diecast today at the car boot, nothing special but enough to keep me happy. Biggest bargain was a Blue Point ball pein hammer for £1. But that’s another story for another thread. andrew e, sutty2006, DoctorRetro and 1 other

Spottedlaurel
Finished the Ford yesterday, although I didn't particularly enjoy the process ad the finished result probably reflects that: 1:24 Monogram 1937 Ford kit by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr 1:24 Monogram 1937 Ford kit by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr 1:24 Monogram 1937 Ford kit by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr Makes for a good companion to the recently completed Chevelle, but look at the terrible panel fit! I don't think the bodyshell is sitting down on the floorpan as much as it should be, but it's as far as I could get it. I don't think I'd have been in the right frame of mind to do fiddly work on the Maserati or Corvette after that...... 1:24 Aoshima Toyota Ipsum kit by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr So I did some straightforward but satisfying prep and painting on the Toyota instead, rather more in my comfort zone. Coffee and caramel interior scheme probably not 100% authentic for an Ipsum/Picnic, but it's similar to what I have on the LS400. Y'know, it's funny you should say that... ...on Saturday I was moving a substantial amount of old soil, which used to be the weed-choked lawn at the back, into 1-tonne bags for lifting... I fumbled one spadeful, and hit the side of the bag with it. When I was sweeping up after, I found this... Which fits ok onto this... I'm nearly sure it's a Matchbox item, albeit from a set of 1/72 model soldiers and accessories rather than from a diecast. But it makes the Majorette Range Rover look a whole heap better! So yeah, check that pot soil... Dick Longbridge, Sudsprint, 155V6 and 6 others 7
warch
I have finished restoring my little Massey Ferguson. Behold! The linkage was a bit bent and I was slightly scared about trying to straighten it, this sort of white metal is quite brittle but I managed to get it to bend back enough to fit a test implement, an old disc mower. The farm implements, most of which look ludicrously small on the much larger 80s and later tractors look absolutely perfect on this. NorfolkNWeigh
A Massey Ferguson 135 was the first modern* tractor I ever drove , did a few hours turning hay on one when I was 14. Although my favourite part of haymaking was driving the Ford D Series collecting bales, as I was a kid I couldn’t get the bales higher than the first layer so got to drive the coal lorry ( the Coalman owned the fields) all for 50 p an hour and a few crafty ciders. I remember being in awe of my Dad and Ceredig The Coal as they chucked bales to each other 15/20 feet up. Off to look at Britains on eBay. 1 hour ago, warch said: I have finished restoring my little Massey Ferguson. Behold! bunglebus
Having finally secured a Majorette Renault 5, I can do a WDIB? - bet there's a Siku one too but it'll have to wait. Left to right, Matchbox, Majorette, Corgi, Majorette. 20200713_161743 by RS, on Flickr 20200713_161817 by RS, on Flickr 20200713_161835 by RS, on Flickr 20200713_161859 by RS, on Flickr Looking at them as two pairs, it's really quite hard to chose between the standard ones and the Turbos. While it's nice to find the mirrors intact on the Majorette and Corgi, they are a bit out of scale and an odd shape, especially on the Turbo Corgi. I do like the 80's "flashback" TURBO script on the Majorette. I think the standard Majorette is the nicest, and gets an accidental bonus point of having appropriate wheels for a three-bolt car Split_Pin, NorfolkNWeigh, Datsuncog and 3 others
