Bunglebus you have scooped well there! 2 Ro80’s, majorettes AND is that a corgi mark 1 Escort?

Yeah and it's a lovely one too. In some ways I wish I'd seen the guy with the stand I pictured first, as he had some lovely stuff for well below eBay prices, but he was as the 2nd boot sale I attended and I had to borrow a few quid off SWMBO to pay for what I got!

Very likely it was me, as I drive one as a daily and don't have a model

Well, it's yours, next time I'm posting stuff your way. Littlun says it's OK.

To console the wife, the Dork Diaries was picked-up for my daughter.

What's the gendarme thing in the middle? I'm obsessed with French Solidos at the moment. ?

Thanks.  I'll send you a photo of my car so he knows what colour it will be redone in

It's the Renault Fuego.   The idea was to repaint it black to match the car I had when I was 20.  But it's nice enough to leave alone for now

Also it was an omen to spot those wheels in the box first - after the Horizon discussion earlier - before I saw it was the Fuego I was after a while ago anyway, to do the 'cars I owned collection in 1:43'....

It was fated !

Right, here are the highlights of this morning's expedition. I don't really buy to sell but there are a few that were either making up the "4 for £1" numbers or cos I thought one of you lot might like them.

They're all presented in "as found" condition, quite a few have now had a trip around the sink since and look a lot better for it!

This one I did buy to sell on, as it's a Lucky Toys, and I've seen what their stuff goes for. Quite a large scale this one

This one is available for the £2 I paid for it cos I knew someone would want a 1:24 Bburago Fiat Panda! Not sure if it's a full repaint or if someone's just touched in the lights

Pretty much everything else is a keeper, starting with the Corgi SD1 - missing its dashboard but at £2 still a bargain

Well, it's a sunny afternoon and of course there's things I should be getting on with. But fuck that, you've made me get my recent boot sale treasures out for a closer look in the garden. I didn't go on Wednesday because it rained so that and the antics of various members upthread have made me doubly keen for the next one.. Firstly some Huskies. I don't usually go for this scale but it was the first boot sale I'd been to in about a year, there was no way I was leaving empty handed. Of course, now is the first time I'd noticed trivia like the bust A-post on the Starfire or the distinct lack of bumper corners on the Jaguars. Why do the same thing in two different scales too, that seems a peculiar business model. Flaminia was irresistible in spite of a missing bonnet.

The Corgi Thunderbird also from the same trip out. I'd been planning to at least try and maintain some willpower but this was on a stall literally in the first twenty paces or so. Two quid changed hands and the addiction kicked into life for another year.. The Humbrol repaint just flakes off, I'm sitting here now picking at it with my thumbnail. There's a crack in the screen but it doesn't really matter, I'm wondering whether this might be repaintable without dismantling, some careful masking and it looks doable. Morris is finding all this riveting.
